Highly recommend and will defiantly be visiting with the wife for a nice break

An amazing period home, beautiful cottages and so stunning views. Privileged to spend the night and meet Emberton family. Enjoyed very much and breakfast was delicious.!! Thank you!! Set in in approximately 60 acres of beautiful countryside and breathtaking views. So immaculate and would highly recommend.

Room Tip: All rooms are good

Took a bit of finding but Tourist Information helped. This was just a one night stopover on a long journey. Former farmhouse. Decorated and furnished in keeping with its period.Lovely breakfast, beautifully served-lovely china and lace tablecloths.Lovely views from the bedroom, sitting on the chaise longue! Host recommended a nearby pub for our evening meal. All in all, excellent.

Having stayed at Tynllwyn for 18yrs we would n"t stay anywhere else for our Autumn break.
Food is great accommodation far superior to any other b&b we have stayed in. & there is a welcoming atmosphere due to the friendliness & warmth ot the Emberton family!!

Room Tip: All rooms are superior with gorgeous views of Wales.

Close to Welshpool yet in beautiful countryside we rated this B and B the best of our recent stay in mid-Wales, and in the top three of any Welsh B and Bs. We booked late but were welcomed by David to a self-catering cottage although staying only one night. The experience, with fantastic b/fast in the main house was more than enough to make us want to say in the cottage for a week. Modern, clean, well appointed, comfortable, with splendid views it would suite a young family very well and the wooden stairs, up to the lounge, kitchen, and twin bedroom would be safe for children with parents around. Bathroom (with bath) and double bedroom are on the ground floor. B/fast was outstanding, and David made sure we had all we needed, in a friendly, unobtrusive manner and without fuss. Even the marmalade and sugar spoons stood neatly to attention! Don't miss this very special B and B.

If this is only the third best accommodation in Welshpool (rating August 2013) the town is indeed blessed. And I, for one, won't be bothering to find out how good the top two are as I wouldn't consider staying anywhere other than Tynllwyn Farm.

From the moment you arrive and are offered tea and cake in the front room, with its magnificent view, you know that this is where you would choose to live if you could. Downton Abbey, Jane Austen, Elizabeth Gaskell can all help you to imagine elegant living. Here you don't just imagine it, you experience it, and to aid that David and Jane Embleton bring charm and a commitment to service that makes the place outstanding.

Nor do you have to lack any creature comforts to live in this style - instead you have a light and airy bedroom with en suite and the usual creature comforts that don't always go with this type of property.

This was our second visit. I'd be very surprised if its our last.
