Had a fantastic day out on the Gavin and Stacey Tour with my husband and two sons. Lady running the tour was so funny and had loads of information about Barry Island as well as the show. Went to Stacey house the lady who owned the house kindly let us have a good look round all the rooms as well as the garden and take as many photos as you like. The church is in such a lovely place again you could take loads of photos inside the church as well. Stopped at a really nice local pub where we were made to feel welcome for a well earned drink. The quiz was a good laugh which everyone joined in add to this the music from the show and a lovely drive round some beautiful country side by a very pleasant friendly driver. Worth every penny a fab day all round.

“Faboolus!!”

Great afternoon with guide Sally from the Vall-ey (aka actress Linda Bailey) and Dave Coach
(who actually taught the actor who plays DC in the series how to drive the bus!) riding around the beautiful hinterland of Barry. Of course you can look up the addresses of the locations used in the series on the internet, and self-guide yourself around. But then you wouldn't get to go INTO some of the properties - the caravan Ness and Dave share even let one of the group use their loo. The highlight is Stacey's terraced house - virtually unchanged from filming. You can use the omelette pan in the kitchen, pose by the barbecue in the backyard ( sadly, steaks cost more than 87pence for three) and sprawl among the pregnancy kits on Stacey's bed. The coach itself has had a lot of repair work done on it and so now - I was assured - never breaks down. A joyous, barmy experience - made all the more memorable and fun by sharing it with equally barmy strangers!!

“Hilarious Tour!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 June 2014

Had a great afternoon on the Gavin and Stacey tour (7th June). The tour guide was great fun/lovely, and Dave the Coach Driver (aka Pauline) was also fab. The tour was full with a great group of people. Islands in the Stream was playing as we got on the original Dave's coaches tour bus and everyone was singing along! We visited lots of interesting places, the church where Ness nearly got married was just so pretty. Thanks to Glenda who lives in Gwen/Stacey's house, she opens up her house for the tour and only accepts donations to the RSPCA. We also had a little quiz inside the house, which was fun. There were lots of photo opportunities on the tour. The weather was lovely which made it even better. I would recommend this 3 hour tour, its well worth the money and great fun.

“Awesome Tour!!!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 April 2014

What a tour!!! We are huge Gavin And Stacey fans... We met at Cardiff Railway Station... The bus was a little late turning up, but it eventually turned up and it was the official Dave coaches bus, which starred in all series, it was definitely worth the wait, it pulled up with Islands In The Stream playing, totally made the tour with the music from every episode. Our tour guide Sally knew lots of inside info about the series which made it quite interesting. We visited lots of places, like Stacey's house, the slots, the church and the caravan site, and many more but I won't spoil the surprise. It's a pity the other house (Gavin's) don't allow visitors. That would of been good. We really enjoyed inside of Stacey's house where there was a little quiz. The woman who lives there is very kind letting everyone have a look inside the house, we signed the visitors book and we donated to the RSPCA. We stopped at a nice pub for a break before we started the tour again. There was an opportunity to have your photo took in the seat of the bus and in the chair in the arcade where Nessa worked. The bus driver was friendly she even told us some stories about the cast. It's good to have knowledge about every series so you can answer any questions people have... I would definitely recommend this tour it's so worth the money and you have a lot of fun singing the songs... We visited the location a year before as we looked for them on the internet, but it's so much better on the trip as you get the info on the series.. The weather was brilliant.. Really hope the Dave coach keeps on running. Fingers crossed...
