“Consistently excellent restaurant”
Reviewed 18 July 2014

Went to Streets to celebrate our anniversary. As usual the service was impeccable - thanks Barbara and Nicola. The steaks were perfect due to the excellent quality of the meat and skill of Alun..
This is a family business celebrating 25 years next year.
You must book well in advance for a table at the weekend. It is VERY popular!

Reviewed 4 July 2014

Very impressed, mentioned it was my sons birthday and they surpried us with banners round the table, candles on his dessert, and they took a picture of him and had it developed and put into a card for him at the time we were there, food was excellent and the service was brilliant, dont know why we have never been before..highly recommended

“Great Venue”
Reviewed 28 June 2014

My wife and I spent a few days in Barry. On our two nights there, we eat at Streets. The atmosphere, food, service were all great, added to which, the prices were very reasonable. Perhaps they would like to open a restaurant in Milton Keynes!

“Gratis to Streets”
Reviewed 22 June 2014

My Partner and I with two friends, visited Streets last night, for about the fifth time this year and as
ever the atmosphere was super, the staff extremely attentive and efficient. The food was
as usual excellent. On top of this the bar prices are very reasonable.

“Great food, cosy atmosphere”
Reviewed 17 April 2014

I went with a group of friends. Although one person was late, and another VERY late, this was not a problem for the staff. We didn't feel rushed and had our cosy table in the window all evening. The staff were very attentive, and catered to our every need. The restaurant has dimmed lighting, creating a nice ambience, and lots of old black and white photos, road signs, street name signs, and London Underground station signs on the walls. The bar is well stocked and there is a good range of food on the menu, ranging from ever popular prawn cocktails, whitebait and pate to name a few starters. There is a salad bar, which we felt could do with a little more variety. The mains ranged from various steaks, Barnsley pork chops with Apple sauce, salmon, swordfish and tuna, and various chicken options, including Cajun, Mexican and Caribbean, all served with chips, or jacket potato and butter, sour cream and chives, or cheese. They do speciality crepes, with all sorts of fillings - fruity, alcoholic or chocolate, plus apple cake, chocolate fudge cake and a wide range of liqueur coffees. I had an excellent prawn cocktail with brown bread and butter, followed by a superb sirloin steak, cooked to perfection and served with a cheese filled jacket potato. Never had this combo before, but it has become an immediate favourite. Friends had steak, chicken and chargrilled salmon - all was very good. One friend had a crepe with mandarins and schnapps, which I sampled - again, very good. Another had chocolate fudge cake and ice cream, which was enjoyed. This is a lovely restaurant in an otherwise run down part of town, set amongst many fast food outlets. Don't let the location put you off. You won't regret visiting Streets.
