I stay regular at Premier Inn as my business needs suit the variety of locations and convenience of easy booking method.
Barry Island is a very good example of the standard I would expect from a mid priced chain hotel. Staff welcoming and check in is efficient. No over fussy/have a nice day stuff! Plenty of parking. Room immaculate, comfortable and quiet. Just perfect after a day on the road!
As eating in the (brewers fayre/beefeater/thyme/table table/village inn) is a 3/4 time a week thing for me while traveling the UK, I get bored of the similar menus at all the venue's. However the buffet and carvery here was the best I have experienced at a Brewers Fayre eatery. The 'Italian selection' was fresh and tasty with fresh pizza added at regular intervals, the carvery was fresh and piping hot with a good choice of vegetables. All you can eat and at a great price.
Perfect example of value for money all round. Thanks.

Stayed here with my partner on a Friday night. The hotel is spotless and the staff efficient and friendly. A quiet location about a mile from Barry Island. Nearby is a Wetherspoons , a few restaurants etc and a small train station. we had a few drinks there after an evening meal in the adjacent Brewers Fayre. Took advantage of the 2 meals for ten pounds offer and a bottle of wine was very reasonable also.
Breakfast was the usual fayre of cereals, toast, fruit, drinks, juice etc for £6.25 or for an extra £2.00 a cooked breakfast could be taken.
The following morning we visited Barry, not been for several years . The promenade has been refurbished with several rides and is well worth a visit.
We will definitel return to this Premier Inn , enjoyed our stay immensely.......

Room Tip: No noise at all , rooms very quiet.....

The Barry Island area has been done up; the hotel being practically brand new and bristling with efficiency and friendliness of its staff.
A late arrival was no problem because of a 24 hrs. occupation of the reception.
Although the temperature in the hotel was exceedingly hot, the rooms allow for manual alteration of the temperature.
No outside noise ever made it into our room.
When starting the day, the magnificent breakfast was something to behold and went down very well indeed.
Again, a Premier Inn that made me vow to only stay at Premier Inn whenever I'm in Britain; even more so after having suffered Travelodge one too many time. All-in-all it's worth paying just that little bit extra for Premier Inn, knowing that what you get in return well exceeds that difference in price!

A new hotel and you could tell everything was clean and new. The staff were really friendly and helpful. just about 1 mile from the beautiful sandy beaches and the fun fair.
Not much else in the local area but attractions within 10 miles.

We arrived in the afternoon on Sunday and the check in was quick and we were soon up into our room. We had booked a table for dinner at 18.30 so just enough time to unpack and get a shower.
Meal was good as was our breakfasts every morning. Back to the hotel as we had not visited south wales before we asked reception about things to see? They recommended we go to the the Big Pit and the Iron Works which we did on Monday. The room was comfortable as was the king size bed. The room was cleaned and the towels changed every day. We use Premier Inn hotels a lot but this one we had no complaints at all with and also a young lady called Lynn who was helping out and lived and worked in Cardiff we would like to award our employee of the week to as she always spoke and again made sure that we were having a great time every day

We stayed here for a weekend, a bit pricey, but clean room and nice breakfast. The hotel is quite new. You need a car, if you are staying here. There is a big Morrison's close by, and some smaller shops a walk away.
