“Good Value”
Reviewed 21 August 2013

Near to local train station. Food as you would expect from any Wetherspoons pub. Staff friendly. Massive range of drinks to choose from. Curry Night - Thursday (when we usually go) cannot be faulted. Well worth a visit.

“Great atmosphere and friendly staff”
Reviewed 2 August 2013

We first went here a few days after it opened a couple of years ago. The food and ales are what all Whetherspoons pubs offer (Welsh menu though, not the English menu). We have been back regularly, as we like the atmosphere and the ales.

“It's a Wetherspoon pub, but a really good one”
Reviewed 14 July 2013

A really nice place this with an oddly relaxing atmosphere. It can get VERY busy of an evening and they do drop down a big screen and turn the volume UP for big sporting events. It's a Wetherspoon pub with all that entails, good food, good beer, great prices and a pretty smart staff who rarely seem to serve waiting customers out of order. Management has recently changed and the new guy seems to be trying hard to up the standards of service. We've been in a few of this chains premises across the country - well, it's consistently good quality at low cost - and this is a really good example.

“Best Pub in Barry by Far”
Reviewed 30 June 2013

I visit this pub perhaps twice a week, it has a unique feel the staff are second to none, friendly and even at the very busy times professional and helpful.
The food is of a good standard and a great selection with the menu changing every few months.
A great place to meet friends, child friendly until early evening then its adults only.
