“Not the best”
Reviewed 23 March 2013

The staff and bar area are very good. We enjoyed a few pints here before and after the Wales/England game. The rooms however are very tired. My wardrobe had one door but I count myself lucky. The others in my party didn't have any doors. The light fittings were hanging off the wall and the carpet in the bathroom a little off putting. Saying that I had a comfortable night but this could have been helped with several pints of Guinness om board. The breakfast was good.

Room Tip: Premier inn down the road is my tip for a good room.

Whilst the staff were polite, the hotel itself is in a terrible state. Rooms were damp with stains on the walls, ceiling and carpets. The beds were very uncomfortable but the worst of all was the en-suite bathroom with its mouldy carpet and walls. Outside of the room wasn't any better with all of the common areas looking tired and depressing. This hotel needs a total refurbishment and at £75 per night (Rugby weekend) its a complete rip off.

The Three Saints is a combination of a pub bar with an upstairs dance or business hall, a separate hotel and a sizable dining room to the side of the bar. The dining room is separated by a room divider providing two separate areas with slightly different decor. The building itself is set a mile or so out from Talbot Green town on an industrial estate with three sides facing green fields and countryside. The setting is quite good and the parking is usually very good.

I have never stayed at the hotel and as such am unable to comment on it. The bar is very much a men's type with a pool table and small entertainment area, the decor is mainly of dark wooden ceiling beams and wall timbers on cream coloured old barn plastering. Not "Posh" but as I say- fine for the local men.

I have eaten there a couple of times and I find the food quite nice. The dining area is pleasant and clean, the staff are very friendly and helpful. The curries have the right flavor and spiciness that would be expected from the various meals. I try not to eat there for the same reason that I no longer eat at any Indian restaurant, that is because as their chef confirmed, their meat is Halal which means that the animals they use for the food are killed by slitting the throats and allowing them to bleed to death rather than the British way of Humane killing. However, if that doesn't bother you then I would recommend the place since the menu is varied, the food tastes fine and the prices are very good.

Dirty paint work, Mouldy bathrooms the food was inedible and we could not wait to leave. The evening meal boasted chefs veg, it turned out to be tinned peas! The breakfrast was a farce, the eggs must have been fried the night befor and kept warm till breakfast you could bounce them off the floor! same with the rubber bacon. The beans had no sauce they had been warmed so many times and when we asked for coffee they said sorry we have run out!!! We should have been there for three nights but could not wait to leave
and we only stayed the night as we were tired after our journey and other hotels were full because of the Rugby. DON'T EVER GO THERE!

just got back from the worst hotel we have ever stayed in .we were moved rooms, had no heating in either. The rooms are all in bad state of repair beds are very hard ,and the bathroom well, what can i say it was disgusting, you opened the door and the front of the bath fell off there were holes in the walls, and the shower was horrid. We should have stayed for three nights but after our breakfast we couldn't get away fast enough.Oh and by the way breakfast was vile. One plus point is, the staff were very helpful.

Room Tip: Go to the premier down the road

The room I stayed in was a very nice . staff was polite & friendly. But some other rooms are not as great as was mine. Breakfast was nice. Great for parking and near to royal glamorgan hospital only 10-15 min walk from hotel.

Room Tip: Rooms at the ends are nice and quieter. Excellent parking.
