“A visit which pays off!”
Reviewed 22 January 2012

We visited the YS Falls early in the morning - tours start at 9 AM and that's the best time to be there if you want to take pics without a lot of other people. The area is impeccable kept and perfectly maintained. The gardens and the Pool at the bottom of the Falls invite to stay longer than just to visit the Falls themselves. After you jump into the several elevated natural pools of the Fall you can take a rest and a sunbath in one of the teak wooden lounge chairs. Enjoy nice food and have a cold drink - whenever you go there there is enough time to go after wards to the Appleton Rum Estate to find out how Rum is made in Jamaica and not only that - you are able to taste the one or other finest product from Appleton and come home in "good spirit"

“Better than I remembered”
Reviewed 22 January 2012

I lived in Jamaica from 1991 - 1995 and remember going to YS Falls before it was a real attraction. Back then you needed a local guide to get you there.

This time I traveled with a group of 12 and the best driver once could ask for (Kingsley James of TakeCareTours@hotmail.com). I was worried that since the location had been upgraded that it wouldn't match my memory, but was pleasently surprised. It is a beautiful location and very much worth the long drive from Negril.

“beautiful and fun”
Reviewed 17 January 2012

We went on a family trip with our 2 adult daughters in their early 20's. Been to Jamaica years ago on a Cruise stop for a day. On that trip we did the Dunns River Fall and Horseback riding on the beach. So this trip we wanted to do something different and saw that YS Fall ranked high on tripadvisor. Also saw several reviewers recommend hiring a driver, instead of joining a tour. So we hired a driver through the hotel from MoBay, for the day, and drove to the fall early in the morning. We arrived around 10am and there's hardly anyone yet. The Tractor took the 4 of us to the fall. We walked to the top of the fall and then came back to the middle pool where we used the tree swing to jump into the clear water...really refreshing. There were zipliners above the the falls. Since we've done ziplining before at Costa Rica, we only played in the water for a while and left around 12pm, when loads of tour buses showed up with tourists.

“YS Falls”
Reviewed 16 January 2012

The falls were beautiful and relaxing. We hired a private taxi from Sunspree resort in Montego Bay. We highly recommend Short's taxi tours. (The 4 of us went for the price of what the resort wanted for one person on a guided tour.) With the taxi, you got to go at your own pace. We got there early in the morning to beat the crowds. At first you see guys just sitting around and you worry about your back packs and cameras while swimming but they are the guides. They will show you were to swim and help you into and out of the water and will take pictures for you. Don't forget to tip them at the end. You might want to add the Pelican Bar and Appleton Rum to this trip. Take water shoes
