On Plus: Location, location and one more time location. 1 min to the beach, 10min to the wharf, less then 5 min to main street. Room was clean and spacious. Pool at the roof were also cool. Toaster, fridge and all what you need to make a breakfast.

What we didn't like: 130 eur per night and wifi notin price? Building a little bit outdated. Basin in the room not in the bathroom - it was sometimes annoying. Nice photos on the website but nearly all showing apartments for over 300eur per night...

You are right Conrad; location, location, location. We have Manly Beach at our front door and that’s one reason we have so many repeat guests.
In regards to our prices, we strive to be more affordable than our competitors. We also want you to know our prices will remain the same for the upcoming year.
Thanks again for taking the time to review Manly Paradise.

This is a tired hotel with revolting smelling basement car park. The rooms are ok but tired the bathroom basin is in the main room away from the shower and toilet.

They turn off the lift at 730pm because they are having problems with it.

The only positive us the location.

Hello Ian,
In regards to the basement carpark, we do not own the carpark, rather we lease parking spots for our guests. We have brought your concern to the owner and efforts are being made to rectify the situation.
On a positive note, we are very fortunate to be on the beachfront in Manly. Although we are an older property, every year upgrades are made so it does not appear ‘tired’. Last year we presented all new bed linens and this year we are installing a new lift.
We appreciate customer feedback and thank you for your comments.

A Colleague and I stayed at the Manly Paradise Hotel on a business trip, for a couple of days and it was excellent. While it an older property without on premise services (more like a serviced apartment) apart from a pool on the roof, the management was very friendly and flexible.

Despite a twenty four hour cancellation policy for online bookings they waived that fee when we booked out a day early with only a few hours’ notice. As long as the cleaners were still around to prepare the room, they were happy to oblige. There are lots of café and restaurants around for breakfast and other meals, and being on the famous Manly Beach was a bonus.

It is not that cheap for what you get (small-ish but clean rooms) but then what is inexpensive in Manly, one of the more expensive parts of Sydney. Very recommended and a nice walk from the ferry is another bonus.

Room Tip: Pay little more for the next level up on rooms to get some more space: it is worth it.

Thank you so much for taking the time to review our beloved Manly Paradise. Our housekeepers in particular will be thrilled to hear that your rooms were 'clean' and met your expectations.

Our staff pride themselves on being 'very friendly and flexible'. With a smaller boutique hotel, we are able to spend that extra time to consider the needs of our guests. I remember the morning you had to leave a day early and I 'm glad that everything worked out for you.

As far as our nightly tariff, we agree that one needs to evaluate it in relative terms. Manly has always been a popular holiday spot and we feel that our beachfront location, clean rooms and friendly staff provide good value for our guests; especially when you compare our tariff to the other accommodators in the area.
Thanks again and we all hope to see you both the next time you are in Manly.

Arrived back home this morning after 2 nights at the Paradise. Wished we stayed longer. Before we booked we read the reviews and were a little apprehensive about the accommodation.

No problem. We enjoyed every minute there. Staff were friendly. Couldn't fault the room (not an apartment) we had. Hot water was hot and didn't have to wait like some reviewers said. Water pressure in the shower was excellent. Air conditioning was good, as you could turn it on when you want, just press the red button (accessible from outside the glass case).

Bed and pillows very comfortable. Room very clean. Rooftop pool area - great.

Only thing that would not go amiss would be breakfast included. Even if it was bread, cereal and milk. There is a toaster there, so they wouldn't even have to do your toast for you.

Other than that minor suggestion, we would definitely stay there again. Can't wait.

Room Tip: Room 318 was like an apartment but cheaper.

Thank you for taking the time to review your stay at Manly Paradise and we are happy you enjoyed your visit.
We pride ourselves on being the’ boutique’ property in Manly; the one that offers a certain charm you can’t find in the larger properties.
Our dedicated staff has been with us for years and they all appreciated your comments.
As far as your breakfast suggestion, we will certainly consider that idea. In the meantime, we are fortunate to be surrounded by wonderful cafes and the supermarkets are just blocks away.
Looking forward to seeing you again at Manly Paradise.

We chose this hotel because be didnt want to pay incredible prices for the neighbouring hotels. We should have paid a bit more, because this hotel is very basic, tiny rooms, and reminded us of being in a backpackers. Although the rooms are newly furnished (to a point), its not a quality place at all. Its a shame, because the location is excellent. Manly really needs a new hotel... and this one is old and tired.

Room Tip: At least ask for a front room so you get a view from the sliding side window.

My sister and I stayed at the Manly Paradise for 3 nights in early November. We had booked the Beachview Queen & Single room. We had originally booked for 4 nights but our arrival was delayed by a day, and they were so accommodating in revising our booking with no penalty.
The location is excellent, being right across the street from Manly Beach. You can easily walk to the many restaurants and shops. The Corso, which is a pedestrian area, is just around the corner.

It's a bit pricey, but that location just can't be beat!

Our room was good sized and smelled very good. It’s an older motel, and not decorated in a real modern style, but it was spotless and very comfortable and again, it smelled very good! The bathroom is not large and has only a shower, no bathtub. The sink and very large vanity are out in the bedroom, which was actually better than it being in the bathroom. There was an electric water kettle, coffee, tea, sweetener and cream, along with coffee mugs and glassware, located in the vanity. So we really had everything we needed. The beds were quite comfortable with plenty of pillows.

From the window you can see the side street and the beach. There was a little table and 2 chairs by the window, so in the morning we’d sit by the window, drink coffee and watch the comings and goings of the beach area. On the weekend, it was a bit noisy with party people passing by. I sleep with ear plugs, so it didn’t bother me at all, but I can see where it might. I’d request the top floor if possible.

The elevator was a little slow, so we’d simply use the stairs… good exercise.

The swimming pool is on the rooftop, and it’s a very nice area. They have quite a bit of seating up there, and it’s a good place to get some sun and swim if you’re not wanting to go to the beach.

The staff were so kind and helpful. They are so hospitable and we felt very welcome.

If you’re expecting the Ritz, you’ll be disappointed. But if you want a clean, comfortable motel right across the street from the beach and close to restaurants and shopping, you’ll enjoy the Manly Paradise!

My Family and I stayed in the apartments for four nights while attending a wedding in Manly. The apartment was in a fantastic location with the beach directly across the road. Very handy to all the shops and restaurants. Two of the bedrooms and the lounge had balconies looking out to the beach, the third bedroom also had a private balcony minus the view. Fully equipped, kitchen including a dishwasher, everything you would need while on holiday. Would definitely stay here again.
