“We'll be back!”
Reviewed 3 March 2014

This is the second time we have stayed at the Quest for a short break and would happily return again. Didn't need to use the car - we could walk everywhere as it is so central to everything. Our room was lovely - had everything we needed! Enjoyed sitting on the balcony and watching the world pass by - it can get a little noisy sometimes, but closing the balcony door at night cuts that down quite substantially. We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay on both occasions and wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. Have to agree with one of the other comments though about the lift - quite airless and a bit claustrophobic being so hot in there - but it's a short trip, so managed to survive! :-)

Room Tip: We have had a room on the first floor both times, but maybe one on the second floor would cut down s...

Hi Dorothy,
I love your subject line and I will definitely hold you to your promise of coming back.
Our location is so central, so there is always something happening on the street that makes for entertaining viewing from our balconies. As you say, once your doors are closed you get solitude.
I see our lift has come in for comment over the past two reviews. As we are only two floors the lift doesn't get the air flow that other lifts get in higher buildings- however the warmth in the lift is only really noticeable on the really warm days. That said it is only a couple of flights of stairs if the lift is not to your liking.
In any case, thanks for your great review. we really appreciate you taking the time to write it.
Kind Regards,
Mark Stanley

We stayed here for one week at the beginning of March. The room was spacious and well equipped and housekeeping excellent. It was a joy to sit on the balcony and watch the world go by. Sleep quality was very good. All facilities a short walk away and a beach a stones throw. Only problem was a slow and hot lift! I chose to take the stairs to avoid it but it's only two floors. Must mention the helpful desk staff too.

Hi Kerry,
Thanks for taking the time to review your recent stay with us. needless to say I am delighted that you enjoyed it so much.
I am glad that you referenced how well you slept here. We are just completing our current project of placing top of the line luxury pillow top mattresses in all rooms, in addition to brand new pillows and linen. On top of this we expect our refurbishment of all common areas to be completed in the next few weeks, so you will have to come back so you can enjoy our fresh new look.

Having been to Manly many years ago - 34 - we were a little worried that it may have changed. It had, but for the better. We received a friendly welcome at the desk as did friends who telephoned to learn of our arrival. Our room was excellent as were the facilities. The only minus was the fact that we were on the first floor and there was no privacy on the balcony as we were immediately facing two busy bus stops. The busy waterfront was an attraction and the ease of both bus and ferry transport was a real bonus. We would have no hesitation staying at Quest again, but would request second floor.

Room Tip: Rooms on first floor have no balcony privacy

Hi Hugh,
Many thanks for your great review. Manly has certainly changed over the last 34 year and I agree that all of this change has been for the better. everything that was good in Manly remains, but the improvements are endless. There are so many great places to eat, shop, drink and relax now and there are a number of new exciting ventures coming into town in the next few months.
Try and visit us again- hopefully well before another 34 years passes!
Kind Regards,
Mark Stanley

Excellently situated between harbour and ocean beaches, 1-min walk to ferry and shops. All amenities, rooms very well equipped.

We were on 2nd-floor with harbour view, pines, seagulls and twilight birdsong… delightful to be on terrace.

Note: there is fairly continuous road traffic (hard to avoid in this area) but it wasn't bothersome even for the elderly members of our party.

Service is excellent; all staff extremely courteous and efficient.

Perfect place for a stay. It's in the heart of Manly with the ferry wharf literally footsteps away. Super friendly staff and the room was perfect!! It was large and updated and quite clean. Would stay again in a heart beat. A little pricey for a longer stay however.

Thanks very much for your great review. I am glad that you enjoyed your time with us so much. We stayed at Quest Manly for 4 nights in February.
The location was fantastic. Directly opposite the Manly Ferry's, which meant a quick ride to work for my husband and easily accessible outings for my daughter and I.
Everything is within a couple of minutes to make this location so convenient. 2 grocery shops within about 100 metres, best coffee in Manly directly under the hotel, major bus location opposite, not to mention the famous manly corso and surf beach a pleasant stroll.
We walked with ease with our 2 year old to restaurants, cafe's, playgrounds, transport.
The hotel itself was clean, quiet and easily accessible.
We had an ocean view apartment which was lovely. Great view and surprisingly quiet for it's busy transport (although handy) location.
All the staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms were very clean and comfortable.
Handy having a roll away bed, bath tub and full equiped kitchen when staying as a family.
We'll stay again.

Room Tip: Go for an ocean front room.

Dear Guest,
Thanks very much for your 5/5 review, it is wonderful to see us reviewed so highly by our guests so consistently.
Manly is a great place for families. There is so much to do and it is all so easy to get to. I say it a lot, but there is literally something for everyone here- great restaurants, playgrounds, art galleries, cafes and not to mention the world famous Manly Beach. I could go on but am limited for space in my replies. In addition, our apartment style accommodation makes it that little bit easier for parents.
I am sure you didn't get to see and do everything Manly has to offer in 4 days, so you will simply have to come back.
Thanks again for taking the time to tell us how much you enjoyed your time with us in Manly.
Kind Regards,

We have just had 5 days at the Manly Quest, and couldn't fault it at all. My husband is disabled so we had one of the disabled suites and found the disabled bathroom the safest we have used. Great to have kitchen and laundry facilities and everything in Manly so close and with a wheelchair easy to get about.
The staff were so friendly and helpful, especially Brad who did all he could to assist us with waiting for a disabled taxi the day we left. Certainly we will be back.
