“Ok for an overnighter...”

We stayed here on an overnight trip to Sydney to see family who live in Mascot. The room was a good size with 2 queen beds - perfect for the hubby and I and our active toddler. Clean with all the usual amenities. Beds were a bit soft for us, but excellent blackout curtains and considering the locations it was very quiet. Great water pressure in the showers and extra towels were a thoughtful addition.

The restaurant downstairs was the real winner for us - we hadn't booked and we had a hungry toddler and nephew in tow and they managed to squeeze us in to a busy service, then proceeded to fall over themselves to make sure the little people were catered for. The mains are overpriced - sure it's tasty but I'm sure they make up for the 'free' children's meals by adding extra $$ onto the adult mains. Still we had a lovely experience and can't fault the staff.

One thing that was a hassle was the lack of car parking. We had to use a non-parking spot when we checked in and found it difficult to find empty spaces when we came in and out. It's also not ideal to have to get your card validated at the lobby before going down to the basement. Additionally when checking in there was only staff member on the desk and a big queue - a small but easily fixable issue.

I apologise that you had difficulty finding a car park in our under cover parking facility. We monitor the occupancy of the car park and usually have ample car spaces to cover requirements, but it appears on this occasion we were particularly busy. We are also in the process of recruiting additional staff to ensure we have appropriate cover at the reception area; thank you for this feedback, it definitely helps us to focus on the right areas of our business.

We stayed for 1 night before flying out to Fiji and I found it to be good value for money and the food in Biggles Bar is great,I waited at the bar for 20 minutes to get a pokie pay out as the only staff member on didn't know how to do it. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the staff friendly,however when we returned to pick up our car ( we booked the Park,Stay Fly Deal) it was about 8 pm and we were tired after a big day of travelling but they only had 1 staff member on reception and a line up of at least 8 people and we had to wait ages for our keys to be given to us and had to line up to get a bill sorted that they had overcharged on check out.. really not good enough.
I have stayed at Holiday Inn many times going back to when it was Park Royal and I really enjoy the stay but clearly there is not enough staff on.

Getting to Hotel from Airport:
Shuttle from domestic airport approx every 30 minutes took 10 minutes.

Short wait. Friendly. Efficient.

Smelled very clean.

Not close to elevators.

After a long flight it was the perfect place to be. Staff are friendly and helpfull. Rooms are great. Comfortable, very clean and quiet. The shuttle from the airport took a while to come but the driver was helpfull and friendly. Breakfast was good.

Typical airport hotel: standard rooms (which could have been a little cleaner), nothing fancy. But overall an ok-Hotel. We had a stop-over in Sydney and needed a night close to the airport. The service could have been better, but was ok as well. The complimentary shuttle comes extra and is quite expensive.

This is the first hotel I stay in Australia. Just took their own bus to hotel from Sydney Airport. About 10 mins late for the bus but It is a good hotel and the food is okie too.
I will be back one day with friends and family.

Efficient! Close to the rail. Great for early flight out or late night in from airport. Hotel has airport shuttle. Save on the airport rail cost. Will stay here again. Nice bar area. Did not eat at hotel so can't recommend either way.
