Our introduction to this Moroccan restaurant was impressive from the start. We were greeted very warmly, the service was attentive and polite and the food was delicious. At the start of the meal we were given rosewater to wash our hands, a lovely touch. I particularly enjoyed the art of tea and coffee making, done at the table. A view of part of middle harbour added to a very enjoyable evening.

Probably some of the best Moroccan style you will enjoy outside of Morocco. A very welcoming host and a great location by Mosman Spit.
A good variety of authentic Moroccan dishes - all good - the seafood B'tilla was a knockout with the quality seafood and layers of pastry.

Wait staff very friendly and welcoming - a nice touch to change wine glasses between bottles even though we byo. We shared a number of tapas dishes - stand outs were the meatballs, haloumi, garlic prawns, garlic mushrooms and octopus - the calamari fritti only average (a little tough not much flavour) and the pâté was ok. The service while a little slow was very attentive and very polite. We were given a side table with an amazing view of the spit harbour. Will definately return.

Afous is a welcoming restaurant - good location, good outlook, welcoming and friendly staff and good, interesting and tasty food. All these features combine to provide an ideal location to catch up with friends. The welcoming with a pleasant smelling hand wash is different and the staff makes you feel that you are their guests. There is a great range of tapas and entrees making a return visit to try some different ones essential. Entrees are generous and tasty and can be shared. The sweet lamb tajine - lamb cooked slowly in spices, and honey and garnished with prunes, almonds and a boiled egg - is a dish you would go back for time and again and likewise, the saffron chicken cooked in preserved lemon, tomatoes and olives. The Moroccan meat balls with aromatic chermoula and coriander was a hit with one of our group and the seafood tajine is apparently outstanding. Before you leave, try the fragrant Moroccan teas and coffee.
