Have been to this place so many times and always return. Their monthly winemakers evenings are fantastic value at$90 a head for 5 courses and wine. But for a special occasion you will not be disappointed with either the food, the wine or the service!

Hi Wally, glad to hear you like our winemakers dinners. These monthly events showcase 7 courses degustation matched with 7 wines and are always popular, and we try to keep the pricing reasonable to make it as best value as possible. Look forward to welcoming you back.

It is quite difficult to find a reasonable quality fine dining restaurant on the Upper Northern Beaches however The Terrace has filled this void with great service, amazing location and relatively affordable dining.

We have visited several times in recent months, often for a long Sunday lunch. The steaks are always a winner and are quite affordable considering their size, cut and how well they are cooked.
For around $35 you can enjoy one of these steaks with some kind of side which leaves some of the nearby hotels for dead (and they are roughly only $5 cheaper).

Entrees and deserts are also great and have been enjoyed on each occasion we go.

If you are a local keep your eyes open for Buy 1 meal get 1 free vouchers that occasionally show up in the mailbox. These are amazing value for money and can make for a cheap high quality meal out provided you don't have 3 courses and heaps of alcohol.

Alcohol is not cheap however in line with most other offerings in the area. Depending on how many people you have with you, the bill can jump considerably if everyone is drinking however this is no different to most restaurants.

It is not 5 star dining but it is one of the best on the beaches and consistently serves up some great meals. Looking forward to coming back on a warm summers afternoon.

Hi Alex, we are glad to hear you had such a great time at the restaurant. In Summer the restaurant vibe takes on a whole new feel as we start to open our bi-fold windows more often giving the restaurant a more alfresco feel. Look forward to greeting you over the festive / Summer season.

The Terrace sits above one of Australia's iconic pubs, The Newport Arms, home to thousands of pub -goers. But the Terrace has its own personality and it's pure class. The menu is five star, the service attentive, the wine list is top quality. We ate the salmon and trout entrees and scallops. Beautfully cooked. A lovely informal night with superb food.

We are glad to hear you enjoyed your dining experience. We are indeed lucky to have one of Sydney's most unique views over the spectacular Pittwater waterway and onwards to the National Park & sunsets ... Look forward to welcoming you back.

Kind Regards, Team @ The Terrace

We had a great lunch experience, delighting in each course and culminating in an unbelievably-good lime, honey yoghurt sorbet with pistachio and toasted meringue dessert.
The other courses were also excellent including the blue swimmer crab linguini and the pan seared sea scalps with apple and traditional pork sausage.

The Terrace deserves an updated review. Have used it as a special occasion restaurant many times over the years and it has never disappointed but last night was just perfect.
Granted the Sydney weather co-operated for a change!
Table by the window with the windows retracted right back provides an almost outdoor dinning experience. Beautiful view of southern Pittwater, magical sunset, quality table settings, an imaginative menu with interesting blackboard specials and a wine list to cater for all tastes and budgets.
The real stand out however was what comes out of the kitchen. Beautiful succulent fresh produce, perfectly cooked and immaculately presented. Well done guys -top marks!
