I has lunch at this Restaurant yesterday. It was busy, with a number of booked functions. The Staff looked a little overwhelmed, and could have been bolstered by a few more numbers.

The service was a bit too slow.

I can't fault the food, but I thought it was a bit overpriced.

A glass of sparkling wine was $17! Too expensive, in my opinion!!

And, there was a Sunday surcharge.

I was'nt asked if "everything was ok" when paying the bill. If I were I would have outlined my perceived faults.

The prices of tap beer was noted on the menu, and when mine arrived had a bit head of froth. I thought this was making up bar profits.

I probably would'nt return, as there are better options, especially at the prices this place charges.

1st visit to this restaurant. Overlooks the pub/bistro area below, but that doesn't detract from the dining experience. Tables for 2 are arranged so you both sit side by side overlooking the lake. We had a 7pm booking, and watched the sun set. Service was friendly, food well presented. Worth a visit.

This is a lovely fine dining restaurant which enjoys amazing views over Pittwater. There are window seats and a raised section a little further back which we prefer as the window seats tend to cop the full blast of the westerly sun whereas the raised section still has the view but no heat issues. We have been there a number of times and the staff greet you like old friends. Sunny, one of the staff is so obliging and helpful . Nothing is a problem at this place. The food is excellent, the wine list varies from quite reasonable to the astronomic for the rare and exclusive.
The pub itself is an icon of the peninsular and is worth a visit just to enjoy the beer garden.

Dear Foamcrest, thank you for your repeat patronage and we will be sure to pass on your kind comments about our staff member 'Sunny'. The wine list is certainly extensive and with over 200+ to choose from we try to cover a large range of options including some special wines the owners have been collecting from their cellar.

Usually not a great fan of restaurants which make part of a pub, this beat our expectations. As a party of 4 we had a cross section of choices from the entree and the mains menus and all our 8 choices plus the oysters for the table were sensational. Fresh produce, well prepared and presented.
Our waitress wasn't fully on the ball but the boss helped out and made it a satisfying and friendly service.
The restaurant setting is basic; maybe lunch with views over the Pittwater is a better option!?

One of the best meals I have eated for a long time. Service was a bit slow to begin with, but the food was worth the wait. Presentation was excellent. Prices a few dollars more than the Beergarden underneath, but a world away in standards.
