Access can be a little difficult as when you come of the main street you can not turn directly into the main entrance and the car park but is only 10.00 per night which is reasonable for hotel parking. The room was comfortable not overly large though, the bed was ok but the pillows could have been better quality for a Mercure and no extra blanket in the cupboard. (not a deal breaker though as the we were able to adjust the room temperature).Front desk staff were also friendly. Overall the staff was good and the stay was pleasant. If I needed to stay in that area again for convenience I would stay again. The restaurant food was good however we ate there on a Friday night and they only had 2 people working and service was slow as well as getting our meal. If in a hurry would not recommend the restaurant especially if they don't have the staff to cope with it. Again the staff were friendly enough but they need to look at staffing it better.

Room Tip: Our room was facing the road but wasn't noisy so I really don't think it would matter which...

Mercure offered efficient customer service! The team at the front desk were so helpful; Fiona, Samantha, Faisal and co. went out their way to answer my many inquiries. From booking taxis to bus timetables, where to do my shopping, looking after my luggage and many more, this team eased my anxieties. Returning from two full days at a conference, I was greeted by the friendly staff and that was refreshing. Even the cleaners were friendly. I'm back home now and the kids love their gifts. Thanks guys!

Room Tip: The rooms in the upper levels offer a good view. Great on a sunny day
