Aireys Inlet Holiday Park

Very disappointed in the handling of a booking mistake. I can cope with human error but gossiping with other campers without actually speaking to those people involved first showed a remarkable lack of professionalism from the management and left us feeling extremely angry and distressed. We did not get an apology and will never again stay here. Certainly not customer focused here.

Small and friendly park with good facilities. Close to beaches and bigger towns such as Anglesea, Torquay and Lorne. Spectacular coast line just seconds away. Cabin we stayed in was clean, self contained and all appliances worked! Will stay again if travelling in the area.

This Park is well located just as you arrive in the town from the east. There are lots of trees with the camp sites among them on grass. We had a powered campsite for two nights in the peak season @ $60 pn. Our small grassed site was sandwiched between two onsite vans which were unoccupied. Other powered sites were fine for the many large camper trucks that poured in on both nights.

The keyed amenities block had four toilets and three showers which could have been a problem if the camp had been at full capacity however they were clean and kept tidy by users with the provisions of a mop for excess water on the floor after showers.

There is a newish camp kitchen as well as a small laundry with 2 washing machines @$3 and 2 dryers @ $1 per 10 minutes.

The pool is solar heated and was very welcome after days in the sun. There is also a spa available for private bookings. The children's playground is centrally located by the amenities block.

The manager was cheerful and helpful.

We booked a Deluxe Cabin which consists of 2 bedroom (as per their advertising on website and on email confirmation received) but when we arrived we had been allocated 1/Bedroom Cabin ?? So just a warning to make sure when you book that you stipulate that you need the 2 Bedroom as they charge as 2 PERSONS not 2 Bedrooms which we found out too late. Unfortunately this spoilt our holiday break as we had arranged for a member of our family to come and spend a few nights with us but had to disappoint him which we felt bad about. Cabin was dated and needs a facelift , couch in lounge was a bit grotty so we used a sheet to cover it so we could sit there. Only enough crockery/glassware for 2 people, heaven forbid if we had a visitor who wanted a drink of something !! Overall too pricey for what we paid but that's what happens I guess when the choices are limited in that area at that time of year. However the park is lovely and Aireys Inlet is so pretty you will enjoy anyway.

We wanted to stay in Lorne but am very glad that the carvan parks there were full and we stayed at Aireys Inlet instead. There is a beach within walking distance and the closest patrolled beach is only a short car drive. The toilets and showers are a little old but kept clean. The kitchen was new and always spotless. It is a small park but the kids had lots to do. We would stay again. Terry was always around and was very approachable.

Friendly service, although the park is slightly dated it is well maintained and presented and in good condition for its age. We stayed in our caravan on a powered site, easy walk to general store, pub and Sandy Gully Beach, kids loved the park, a small park which was fully booked yet still quiet with no rowdy groups. Thanks Terry.

I really liked this park and was disappointed that I was only staying one night. It is one of the nicest parks with great facilities, with planning you could use this as a base to see the first part of the Great Ocean Road. I moved on to Apollo Bay the next day but would have rather stayed longer at Aireys Inlet and particularly this caravan park
