We arrived in Beechworth without having booked and so went to the information centre. They provided us with a variety of options and we chose Gorge Walk B&B - and it was an excellent choice. The room we had was the only remaining room and had a dedicated bathroom across the passage, whereas the other rooms all have their own ensuites. This initially put me off, but I was glad that I had not been influenced by this, as it presented no problem at all! The room was warm and the bed was very comfortable, as were the pillows - which I note were referred to in another review as well. The shared sitting room with the wood heater was a very pleasant place to sit and read and/or watch TV and in the morning, it also doubled as the dining room. The breakfast was great, with a freshly cooked breakfast offering choices and home-made bread/jam. Plunger coffee and quality tea was on hand in the sitting room all the time. The B&B is only a few blocks from the main street and so if one chose to walk, rather than drive, this would be an easy option. It was a wet and cold weekend and so we chose to drive, but the central location was excellent. I would certainly recommend staying here and we will do so again.

We have stayed in a few B&Bs around Australia and overseas. Gorge Walk was easily one of the best. Warm hosts and great breakfasts. We really enjoyed our two-night stay.

Stayed here for a second time for two nights and found everything to be fantastic, once again. Lovely hosts and great comfy room...freezing weather but the heater works well and the bed was warm and comfy... Breaky was great and plentiful and Gary and Jill are happy, accommodating hosts...highly recommend and we will return for sure.

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights and were greeted by friendly hosts and provided with a very comfy room (the gold room). We were thrilled to find they also had neck support pillows and a comfy bed. Our room had access to the garden and provided a lovely outlook. Breaky was hearty and delicious and on time and with a smile from Garry. We were really happy with our stay and we will certainly return as well as refer friends and family visiting Beechworth. Well done Jill and Garry and many thanks. Charlotte & Ciaran

Room Tip: Close proximity to city centre, close to lovely gorge walk, a really good place to staym if you want clean, comfy and genuine hosts.
