We had high expectations for the Gorge Walk B&B and in many ways our stay was fine. The owners were helpful and nice and our room was comfortable. The continental breakfasts were OK without being as nice as other places we stayed at during our trip. We were disappointed with the location, we thought it was closer to the main street rather than being in Beechworth suburbia. We booked for 4 nights but the owner asked if we would move to another house for the last night because of a "booking glitch" - not ours. We agreed and moved to a different place arranged by the owners which was fine (again) but not as well appointed.
In summary our stay at Gorge Walk B&B average and the price was higher than we paid at other similar places and we were mucked around.

we certainly did not expect this sort of hospitality.... just a very cosy redesigned house of at first we thought...mmmm .... but the charm and easy going nature just made i.t a delight..Gary and his wife were just lovely eassy going people that when even brekky was brought into our bedroom felt so homely..(brekky was outstanding) . I would recommend this over a motel in beechworth anyday.. We will be back for sure.

Room tip: simply homley with the main street one block away,,,beats anything else we saw.

The best place to stay in Beechworth. The owners are very friendly people. They gave me good tips for my trip. The rooms are furnished in different styles with a lot of creativity. The place is just 5 min from the towncentre.

A lovely property - rooms styled 'old world' each with a floral theme . We stayed 3 nights in the Rose Room . The room was spacious and King bed very comfy The owners attention to detail is obvious throughout. Hot breakfast provided in the rate charged was very generous. We liked the french doors and the gardens beyond. Location was quiet with an easy walk to town centre. The owners are friendly and helpful.

We had a very pleasant stay at the Gorge Walk B & B. We were two couples, and took two rooms. Both were fine, and well equipped. The only downside of the rooms were a very small TV - not that we bothered to use it -, and the walls between rooms are not very soundproof. Our hosts were charming, and helpful with suggestions about Beechworth. The house itself is well located both for access to the town centre (a 5 minute walk) and interesting walks around the Gorge itself.
