Steve and Eileen had just taken over Barnsley House when we visited the week after Easter. A very welcome tea and cake on arrival in the conservatory, and great advice and support through our stay. Steve's coffee a good start to the day.

Highly recommended, and well located a short distance from the centre of town.

Room Tip: Rooms are off a main corridor with the kitchen at the end - so if you are late, light sleepers you might prefer a room nearer the front door

Our stay started with a lovely welcome which included delicious scones, jam and cream. The weekend continued in this vein. Eileen and Tom could not have done more. The breakfasts were scrumptious, the room cosy and comfortable and the house and garden gorgeously maintained in the style of the late 1800s. Highly recommended!!

My husband and I were fortunate enough to receive a Birthday voucher from my friend for our 60th, to stay at Barnsley House, Beechworth. My friend joined me for our stay during the Harvest Festival weekend. (May 18th) Eileen and Steve made us most welcome with scones and cream and tea or coffee on our arrival. Their B&B was delightful. The furnishings returned us to the elegant days gone by and the hospitality they offered was second to none. The rooms were delightfully decorated and perfectly clean and the lounge, with its crackling fire, provided a very cosy and welcoming area to meet with other guests or read. Eileen's breakfasts were splendid.
Beechworth is such a pretty town and the autumn garden at Barnsley house, a picture, with the carpeting leaves. Scones and jam and cream in the pretty conservatory upon arrival were delicious and just what every weary traveller appreciates. A great weekend, topped off by the welcoming folks of Beechworth.

Room Tip: All the rooms were beautiful but if you wish to take advantage of twin beds, then book early as all the other rooms are doubles. Our Albert suite had its own balcony and parking was safe and off road.

We had a lovely 3 night stay at Barnsley House. Eileen and Steve were very hospitable and went out of their way to make sure our stay was comfortable. The house and garden are beautiful and the breakfasts are great.

Room Tip: Albert room is sunny and large

We have just returned from a mid-week break at this charming B & B in beautiful Beechworth.
Our lovely hosts Eileen and Steve provided every comfort, and were so hospitable and welcoming that we didn't want to leave.
The B & B is lovely, the breakfasts are delicious (don't forget to try 'Ron's relish') and the garden is a picture particularly when viewed from the sunny conservatory.
We are already planning to return and bring friends with us to share this true B & B experience.
