This restaurant has a lovely atmosphere for both indoor & outdoor dining but unfortunately charges like it's located inner city rather than Berwick Main Street. Average food for the cost with no real consideration for vegan friendly options. The staff were helpful and the venue great, shame the cost & food didn't live up to the experience.

We dined here for a birthday celebration last night. The restaurant looks clean and modern, and is large enough that you don't hear the conversation at the table next to you.
Overall we had a good experience, but we did not go in with any high expectations.
The good:
- Mains were all served together, our table ordered 3 of their parmas, a porterhouse and 2 kids meals. We were all happy with our meals. The food tasted nice, and came out looking as it should.
The bad:
-We ordered beers and soft drink to drink, the beers were fine, but the coke came out flat, and tasted terrible, 2 guests returned them, and they were replaced with more flat coke.
They were sent back and we ordered different drinks as it was obvious they only had flat coke!
-Service wasn't great, the waitress was glued to the tv the whole time, watching "My Kitchen Rules", as was the waiter. When we finally did get them to come over and tend to us, they were polite, but were not attentive, and we had to request them to clear the empty plates etc. We also had to request the menu for dessert, and same for drinks, they did not ask us if we needed anything.
-Desserts were overpriced and not great quality-a bit tasteless, definitely not made onsite the wholesaler boxes were inside the cake fridge- a bit disappointing.
-When I went to pay for our meals, the waitress told the owner that she had just waited a table outside who had just arrived, and said "they want entree's" in a cranky voice, and the owner said something implying that he was annoyed that they had a new customer, and this was only 9pm, we got the feeling we were keeping them awake!
Dont think I would go back in a hurry, but the food was good, so may go back one day

Dined here with my partner and was expecting lovely food from the exterior it looks like a quaint little place. The menu is extensive and well priced. We started with cheesy garlic bread - unfortunately it was more cheesy than garlic. We both wanted something light for dinner and ordered the calamari salad. The Calamari salad was more deep fried rings with side salad, not what we were expecting. The calamari was extremely oily with the cumb coming off and was like eating a fozen rubber band. Very dissappointing, if they cant get a simple salald and squid right we wont be going back. The service was good. Another turn off was in the cake display cabinet were cakes but they were still packaged by the wholesaler, not very appealing when you like to think your deserts are a made fresh. Definenete No.

We have been to Ashscotts three times in the last 6 months and it is well worth the 40 kilometres we have to drive there. It was our restaurant of choice for anniversary.
The service is very friendly.
My Moroccan Lamb Cutlets were sensational and I savoured very morsel. It was so good I am going back again tomorrow. My wife always chooses the Champagne Chicken and doesn't want to change because it is so good.
The cheese herb bread is also very good.
