Over the years this pub has had a waxing and waning performance. Right now it seems to be on a peak - maybe new owners? Meals in the 'Black Dog Bistro' are reasonably priced - flathead tails special $17, a great looking Chicken and Mango salad $12.50 (we didn't order this, just saw someone elses'). Range of vegetables with meals are excellent. But a warning - serving sizes are huge, so bring your appetite! This is great pub food. Also available, some local wines, which is fun - we had a great bottle of their 'wine of the week', a local Indigo Jack Tempranillo for $20 - great value and lovely to try some local wine. There are no restaurants in Chiltern for dinner, so as an option for dinner this pub won't dissapoint!
