We stayed here for 1 night while travelling through Victoria and New South Wales. Of all motels we stayed in this was the most expensive and probably the worst. Wifi did not work, the restaurant was closed and the whole place look like it needs some serious work. Overpriced for what is offered.

Nice little apartment we stayed in. Front room on entry has sofa bed and single bed. Old TV with only four channels Melb is still yet to go digital. Seperating first room is little kitchen and bathroom off to the side. Then further om is main bedroom is queen bed.
Decor is a bit 1980's but still comfortable. Possums at night make a bit of noise as you are next to a nature reserve but still not a bad stay.

These regional motels mostly are basic but ok accommodation. There isn't much competition and I usually think it is the chain that controls quality. Prices tend to be high for what you get.

Country comfort cranbourne is just one of these ... clean and rooms are spacious. Facilities and service are pretty basic. There is a couple of hotplates, amicrowave and some cooking implements if you want to prepare some food. Room delivered breakfast was pretty good and cheap, even if you must order by 7pm.

TV is still basic ... These days every hotel should be offering the full range of free to air channels.

One unusual feature was the electric toilet seat. The sort of thing you more usually see in Japan. It's heated with a variety of washing and drying features. Just seemed out of place in this log cabin style motel.

From our two month Australian holiday
The motel and adjoining restaurant were constructed to be a weekend destination from Melbourne. While this never materialized, the motel rooms remind one of a European chalet in spaciousness and layout, sitting room, corridor to bedroom with huge bathroom off corridor. ASK TO SEE ROOM BEFORE CHOOSING! Our sitting room and bedroom were large, bed was first class, more than good value, hot breakfast delivered to room. Quite spotless and everything was good working order. If the restaurant next door is open and it is most nights, the great room is matched by the quality of its food and the owner is the maitre de. Our dinner and night's stay were memorable.

Not sure where to start... Check in area dark & dinghy.
Room had stained carpets & ripped curtains. All the woodwork needed a coat of 'something' be it paint or whatever. There was a small gap around the ceiling where black specs kept falling from. The windows needed cleaning . In fact the whole room could do with a major spring clean & revamp as well!!

For me this was a 'drive by' choice. I was in the area for business, it was evening and I needed somewhere to stay. The GPS said this was one of the closest. The external appearance and location of the closest motel lead to drive on to this one.
The rooms are more cabin like than a typical motel room. You walk into a living area, then down a small hall with the bathroom leading off the hall and the bedroom out the back. There was a hotplate in the living area. and in a blast from the past a small TV on castors.
The unit was clean and tidy so now real problems there.
There is a restaurant on site but it wasn't open the night I was there so I can't comment on that.
If I have to spent another night at Cranbourne, I might look at what else is available, but I wouldn't exclude returning to the The Comfort Inn
