“The Old Bakery & Wild Plum Cafe”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 July 2014

This was quite a surprise and we only stumble upon it during a walk up to the old railway station. On seeing the café sign we decided to have lunch. The food was top quality and fresh and on the day indulged in a chicken pie and a particularly nice chocolate fondant cake. We enjoyed it so much and returned on another day during the stay at Dunkeld. The staff were very friendly.

“Just gets better and better”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 June 2014

Every time we visit this place gets better and better. Most recently we had the quiche (not usually a favourite of mine and on this occasion my partner's choice) which was delicious - soft, delicate and beyond anything your granny inflicted on you. Worst case scenario if they ever ran out of anything else a couple of slices of their toast with butter beats a lt of what the Royal Mail offers (in my opinion).

“Highly Recommended”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 31 May 2014

Must visit! Service was wonderful, food was amazing. I had the tartiflette which was superb (incredible crust of Camembert cheese), my partner had the omelette which was brilliantly done (yummy chunks of pumpkin & feta cheese). The chef's French which explains the awesome cuisine. The homemade sourdough bread that accompanied each dish was excellent as well.

“A tatsy diversion or a stop in itself!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 24 April 2014

Signposted from the main street in Dunkeld, the Old Bakery is everything you would expect from a wonderful provincial bakery and more! The breads are wonderful; especially the soda breads and the pies. We also enjoyed lunch and returned another day for a hearty and well priced breakfast. There are plenty of tables and roaring fires to settle you down for a delightful escape over a light meal. The coffee is also one of the best in the region. Don't drive through without stopping or you are doing yourself a disservice!
