Having booked our weekend well in advance, for a special anniversary, and especially requesting a room with a view down the valley, we were most dissapointed to be placed in a room overlooking the resort management office and the work vehicle carpark. When we have been up here in winter we have always looked up at the balconies and thought it would be lovely to have a weekend out of winter staying in a room with this glorious view of the beautiful valley. Apparently all rooms were fully booked the weekend before, which we realized as we researched making sure this weekend there were no major events on. Apparently all rooms with a view were still uncleaned as they were obviously empty as the only rooms being used were out the back or on the sides. As this was requested some time ago with our booking we were bitterly dissapointed with the room assigned to us. The staff were most courtious and certainly no complaints there. It was lovely and quite which is what we had planned, but as I have said just bitterly dissapointed that our special weekend away in a "room with a view" just didn't happen, especially when all these rooms were empty. I can well understand that staffing in summer would need to be cut, but I do feel that by doing this and not meeting your customers needs your cost cutting is loosing business. Certainly from us anyway. Would we return? No. Would we recommend to others? No. Sorry.

Spent 3 days at the Quay West Resort over the March long weekend - this was our 3rd stay at the resort with the entire family - 2 adults / 3 kids. As usual the room was outstanding and all the facilities and staff up to the same high standard. Thoroughly recommend the resort to anyone looking for a high country escape.

Room Tip: In my opinion you can't beat a room with a spa bath and a view across the mountains!

We stayed in summer but I was most impressed that the ski lifts are at the back of the hotel - so would be nice and close in the ski season. The hotel is good - great views, modern apartment with a bubbling hot spa on the balcony. However, the temperature was around 35 degrees when we stayed there, so sitting in a hot spa wasn't an attractive option. But in cold weather it would be awesome. This is obviously a resort that is really geared to winter, but it was a good place to stay for one night. It would have been good if the restaurant had been open for dinner, as there wasn't a lot of choice in the village. The breakfast was fine though. All in all, a perfectly acceptable place to stay for a night in a great location.

I appreciate your comments with regards to the restaurant been closed for dinner. I am sure that you appreciate the operating hours are based on the number of people that we have on mountain. Unfortunately during the time of your visit to Falls, there were not enough guests on mountain to justify opening for dinner. For this I apologise.

Had an awesome weekend at Falls Creek and the Quay West Resort. After 3 hours of bike riding, it was great to come back to the resort, have a dip in the (SMALL) pool, hot room and then spa on the balcony... Great rooms and facilities. Shame about the restaurant not being open for dinner (it is very limited on the Mountain over Summer). Apart from that - very impressed...

Stayed in Feb for 3 days of hiking - there are a mix of reviews on trip advisor but having been to the alps in summer on several occasions Mt Buller also, the resort did not exceed my expectations but met them. Had a 4th floor room with great views but on the second day the electrics went in the apartment and we had to move across the hall. The next room was so cold and even though we adjusted the thermo it just wouldn't warm up. Thank goodness for the electric heater in the bedroom.

Constructive feedback for Management would be to have someone change the bins on a daily basis and to have more of a front of house presence (the whole time I was there I did not greet or was not greeted by anyone on reception). If there is no apartment servicing or cleaning during summer during a stay then offer a kind of self service on each floor to dispose of rubbish, get clean towels, extra milk etc.

We would return but we don't expect more than what it was and accept it as a winter resort opened during summer. Would not pay more than the Wotif summer special rate for a 1 bedroom apartment - I feel it more of a 3.5 star self contained apartment complex.

A good base to explore Falls Creek and enjoy the hiking which is all we wanted. On a positive when the electrics went Management was very quick to respond thank you.

Your comments regarding the poor heating in the room are acknowledged. As a way of explaining, we turn the floor heating off in the apartments during the summer months for the comfort of out guests. Unfortunately during the occasion of your stay this caused you discomfort. For this I apologise.

I was disappointed to read that your apartment was not serviced during your stay. I have passed this onto our housekeeping team for their corrective action. Thank you for bringing this to my attention.

On a positive note, your comments pertaining to the quick response by my team to your electrics demise is pleasing, as we pride ourselves on our customer service.

Fantastic place to visit outside the snow season, great appartments + loved the private spa on our balcony, very helpful staff, very good facilities within the resort. Very limited options for dinner, but the apartments have a fanatics kitchens with all your requirements
