A Fare With Nature at Prom Road Farm
Reviewed 12 January 2014

We stayed with Rhonda over the New Year period and felt really welcome at her lovely home. The location is a manageable distance from Wilson's Prom and close to the town of Foster which has a few restaurants, a grocery store and some bakeries. The first thing that struck us was how well-kept and spacious the place was. Coming up the driveway we were greeted by a the sight of a lovely garden, ponies and a dog.

The house is tastefully and comfortably furnished. We were housed in one of the two downstairs rooms that is attached to a living and dining space for guests on the ground floor. The view from the living room is amazing; rolling hills, shining oceans. The bedroom was comfortable and there were thoughtful touches everywhere; an electric blanket, fruit and anzacs in the dining room and lots of local information. The bathroom was neat and had everything we needed. The other room on the ground floor is handicap-friendly, which we thought was a sign of considerate planning.

In the morning we took a short walk up the hill (it is a functioning dairy farm so we got a few stares from the cows) to better appreciate the view. We would highly recommend staying here- the place does not show up as often on searches for Wilson's Prom but of the few B&Bs that we experienced during our trip, Rhonda's was one of the best. She was very helpful with suggestions on what to do in the evening and was so kind as to pick us some fresh berries and carrots from her garden for our drive back to Melbourne. We were bummed to have not been able to spend more time there and look forward to returning with our family!

Room Tip: Rhonda has an upstairs bedroom that is called the sunrise room for good reason.

We stayed at this B and B on a trip to Wilson's Prom and it was such a lovely escape from the city. The farm itself was absolutely gorgeous with breathtaking views from the balcony. There were 3 ponies, multiple chickens and a friendly dog! The host was also very warm and welcoming.

Room Tip: the main bedroom with the ensuite has a fantastic view from the window
