We stayed here for the grape escape weekend in a 2 bedroom unit for 2 nights .The unit was very clean and came with pre cut fire wood/papers etc for the wood heater which was great . There is a wood box outside the door full of wood and a wee box where a fresh loaf of bread and the paper is delivered every morning . The lady on the desk was very helpful on checking in with advise on where to eat etc and was happy to help if we were not
good at fire lighting etc . The down side would be the sad condition of the carpet , the rusty old bbq (though the plate was very clean ) and the reverse air con didn't blow out any heat (but we had the fire ) . These units are old as mentioned in other reviews but kept clean just need a spruce up. Step out the back of the property to watch the kangaroos and emus grazing , just beautiful

Great location and unit set on lovely, well kept & spacious grounds.
Units somewhat tired however very clean, in need of a partial makeover. Ceiling fan electrical board in rooms very loud and buzz all night.
Swimming pool a bonus in the hot summer months.
Managers are rude and lack hospitality skills

Stayed in the spa villa which was amazing!
The layout is not for shy people!
The combination of the wood fire and spa was lovely.
Separate bedroom upstairs in the mezzanine area was also a nice touch.
Lovely grounds with lots of wildlife visible from your front windows.
Reception staff very friendly and helpful.
Breakfast platter also nice.

Only downside was that the property is a little tired and could do with an upgrade (especially given the price).
I would stay again!

We returned to the villas as we had enjoyed our previous stay a few years back. We especially love the peaceful, picturesque setting they are in. They offer a good choice for families wanting to self cater and be just out of Halls Gap, quiet but easy to get to town by car, bike or walk, Sadly, the villas are now in real need of renovation and it has got to the point where the setting, great staff and service cannot make up for the tired. disintegrating furnishings/appliances in the villas. The bed was uncomfortable, kitchen floor and bech top had burns/holes in it, cooker had various issues etc It was mainly usable so not worth complaining but just very tatty and tired, considering the cost. With some money spent and a freshen up these villas could be returned to a lovely place to stay again. Fingers crossed.

We loved visiting Halls Gap with Boronia Peaks Villas as our base. Yes, the cabins are dated, but they are clean with everything you could possibly need included. Complimentary fresh bread, morning paper and well stocked logs for the fire were well-received and homey touches. Beds and pillows super comfy with extra blankets and towels and a kitchen that stocked everything needed for cooking a variety of meals. Staff/owners are friendly and well informed of local sights to see. Our only issues were the sofas which were very uncomfortable with timber planks nailed into the frames under the cushions. Not good for evenings watching tv or sitting by the fire. Upgrading the furniture would have given our experience five stars. Still, we would stay again as the price was right.
