We stayed in this holiday rental for 4 nights as part of our honeymoon. It was such a find - perfectly located in Halls Gap for exploring the walks in the Grampians, as well as a spot of mini golf and wine tasting. It was incredibly spacious, clean and comfortable, with many homely touches. We really enjoyed the fire to keep the place warm in the evenings, and there was a plentiful supply of wood. The kitchen has everything you could need for self-catering. Great value. Couldn't have asked for anything more - thank you! We'll definitely be back.
This place is fantastic. We stayed there for 5 nights just after Easter and as all the other reviews have said, they truly have thought of everything. The beds were super comfy, big fluffy towels (and plenty of them!), a gorgeous spa bath complete with candles, a huge tv for those who want to watch a film and a separate seating area for those who want to play games or just sit and watch the log fire burn. Plenty of firewood available too which was a nice touch.
The kitchen has everything you might ever need including salt and pepper, some sauces, butter and a small milk so you don't need to dash out for that first cuppa after you arrive! There's a fabulous coffee machine too and coffee in the fridge ready which was nice as often you end up buying huge tins of this stuff only to use a tiny bit during your stay. Tea bags, sugar, washing up liquid and tablets for the dishwasher. Even baking paper already lining the pans for your morning bacon! Honestly, everything.
Location wise, it's a couple of hundred metres from the Cultural Centre so it was easy to wander over and pick up maps for our walks. Google told me it was 7 mins walk from the Indian restaurant and it's roughly half an hour walk into the main village, walking at a three year old's pace as we were!
Peter was friendly and attentive and clearly is very passionate about making people feel at home in his property.
Cockatoos visited the deck every afternoon which delighted the children and we saw more kangaroos and emus than we could shake a big stick at.
So yes, if you go to Halls Gap and are looking for somewhere delightful to come back to at the end of a long day hiking, stay here. If the weather isn't perfect for walking and you want somewhere to stay inside but feel like you're still on holiday, stay here. In fact, just stay here. Trust me :-)
A comfortable and modern property. Features and finishing touches exceeded our expectations. Great location in a quiet area with an easy walk to shops. Would definitely stay here again as it is perfect for two couples to share.
This property is perfect for a girls weekend away or family holiday . Owners very helpful and accomodating when booking our stay ,extremely clean and lots of little extras to make you stay perfect ,already planning our next visit
Best in our 6 week holidays. Very clean and everything, what you need in an apartment. Good espresso machine with lavazza coffee. The Kakadu Show at our balcony was fantastic.
It was so comfortable so well appointed that if felt like home. We didn't miss anything!
I was impressed by the cleanliness, comfort and how well appointed it was.
The pantry had salt , pepper, olive oil, herbs, glad wrap, butter in the fridge....everything. For fussy coffee lovers like my husband, there was even an espresso coffee machine in the kitchen with ground coffee supplied.
Every room had it's own TV,. The separate toilet makes the accommodation comfortable even for 2 couples, not just for a family.
Did I mention the bath robes? And the binoculars?
The sale in front of the house was protecting our car from birds and from the sun. What a great idea!
Perfect accommodation in a great location! We are planning to return in the area for more outdoor experience and I hope we can book this accommodation again.
Loved all the walking trails close by, lots of beautiful wildlife and we found some great restaurants. The Indian one was exceptional and the Harvest was excellent too. The house was clean and well equipped with everything that we could ever need. The wine and fudge were a lovely touch. We will definitely stay at Bella Casa Blue again the next time we are in Halls Gap
