Harbour View Motor Inn

This motel has very friendly and helpful staff, in particular Leanne who's local knowledge and advice was very much helpful having come from Perth to see a graduation at HMAS Cerberus.
The room we stayed in was presented well, plenty of room and a comfy bed.
The area was quiet and easy to get in and out of town from.
I would recommend staying here again.

Room Tip: Spa room was good and far enough away from the main road so no noise.

Have you ever travelled and everything went wrong for you?

This was our story until i was fortunate enough to find the Harbour View Motor Inn phone number online, rang and spoke to the loveliest woman, Leanne, about our series of disasters...

Leanne had to deal with a panicked me, asking her about everything under the sun at Hastings (emergency medical services, taxi for pick-up of a distressed sailor who had just escaped from a serious boating accident a few hours before; a wet to the bone captain, who had had 36 hours of no sleep and possibly not even his wallet on him to reach a hotel... etc. etc. etc.)

Leanne instantly organised me so to speak, in no time, she had all organised for me onsite there. Not only a lovely warm spa room at such a good price, she had a team ready to help my Captain for all his needs there, while i was still in Tasmania myself, feeling so helpless.

I cannot but highly recommend the Harbour View Hotel Management, who also ended up organising the packing of captain's sea drenched personal items the following day as Captain was taken to Emergencies with a femoral hernia (where he had to stay for 3 weeks subsequently).

Leanne also organised computer and precious items to be delivered asap to hospital out of her own till cash, the taxi would not take Captain's credit card, as i understand it.

I could not have wished for a better Friend-Ally onsite, i swear. Bravo, bravo and bravo and so many thanks to Leanne and her team there. This is Hospitality taken to the finest level.

Patricia & Ed the Captain

Room Tip: trust management ;-)

With the Devilbend fun run approaching again this year, I remembered that I had intended to recommend the Harbour View Motor Inn to stay at if you are participating in the run. The motel is only a 10 minute drive from the start of the fun run. My wife and I stayed there last year and we were more than happy.

We got a $99 deal on wotif for a queen room and were able to stay for one night (many hotels on the Mornington Peninsula insist on 2 nights or more).

The room was fine. An older room but really comfortable and very quiet. A kind of quaint 70s-style motor inn with one of those shoots in the wall for room service that I haven't seen for years. The service was excellent and we were able to check out an hour late upon request without any charge.

Hastings has all you need including a couple of nice bistro style restaurants and supermarkets.

For the price, this motel is very highly recommended.

Room Tip: All of the rooms are off-street and should be quiet.

I was very surprised as to how quiet it was over night, able to sleep well. Our room was very clean and comfy! The lady at reception was very helpful & friendly. I have family based at HMAS Cereberus, and we have stayed at a few other motels in the area, and the Harbour View will be our choice in future. That you Harbour View for a pleasent stay.

We had a lovely stay. We were there for 2 nights. The service was great. Rooms well maintained and roomy. The price is very good. The locals are usually contractors who work within the town and are very friendly. We had one group of guys ask if we wanted to share their BBQ as they had too much which we thought was great. The close proximity to everything is a great help. Worth the stay

We found the Harbour View Motor Inn via Google, as we had a 60th Birthday to attend in Hastings, Victoria. We rang to book and found the Receptionist to be very professional and friendly, listening to our requirements and making sure that we were matched to the accommodation most suiting our needs. Our check in was very efficient, and restaurant recommendations and instructions were very clear. The next morning we were delayed returning from breakfast, and therefore late checking out, this was not an issue and we were not rushed to leave. Thank you Harbour View for an extremely pleasant stay. Lee Spyrou

While the rooms were clean and the bed comfortable, everything looks a little bit old and tired. The location was ideal for us as we were visiting family nearby, but otherwise there is not a lot in the area. A decent budget style hotel.
