With a choice of four cabins you just can't go wrong. Each is perfectly placed so you feel that you are alone in the world, just surrounded by bush. The bath is perfect as you look out into the tree ferns with bubbles and candles galore. Our stay included the gourmet breakfast ... there was so much food it lasted two mornings. Remember to bring a book, great reading couch or seats outside to rest and read.
Note: the internet connect isn't the best.

Stayed here 23rd April 2013 in Dreamwood Cottage. Cottages are beautiful, private and spacious. Loved the open fire, loft ceilings, spa bath & expansive balcony to listen to the birds and sounds of the bush. Owners are lovely and provide amazing provisions for breakfast (everything you could want in abundance) - that was a real bonus, not to mention wine, chocolates and homemade biscuits! Cottages are exceptionally clean (very important to me), faultless. Only one small niggle - bed had a dip in it and gave me a sore neck for a couple of days. Perhaps mattresses may need to be turned or replaced? Other than that, stay was fantastic and would definitely come back. Highly recommended! Really appreciate the effort the owners put in to making it a beautiful stay - all those extras and cleanliness make a big difference!

We celebrated our 20th anniversary with two nights in Silverbrook and had the best and most relaxing time that we have had in twenty years. Thank you Jan and James, your attention to small details did not go unnoticed. Recommend massages! Lesa and Brad

My partner and I stayed here for two nights for a winter getaway and it certainly did not disappoint!

We arrived on a rainy afternoon and were blown away from the moment we stepped in the door. The warm fireplace was crackling away which gave a very good first impression. The Ferns cottage is so inviting and warm.

Everything has been thought of including lots of little amenities here and there. I also loved the use of MOR products in the bathroom- my favourite!

The cottages are secluded and private, yet only a five minutes drive to the township of Healesville.

We hope to come back and stay again next winter!

Room Tip: I'm not sure of all the room types as this was a surprise, but the Ferns Cottage was incredible!

We had a glorious two night stay in Silverbrook celebrating our ten year wedding anniversary. It was just perfect. We started the weekend with a massage which set the scene for a perfect relaxing weekend, something we don't do often! The accommodation and setting was perfect, the wine and goodies on arrival were lovely as was the breakfast provisions. It really was an outstanding weekend. Thank you so much, can't wait to return next year!

2 night's was just not long enough, ' Dreamwood ' was so perfect. Jan and James,so much effort has gone into achieving perfection here in your "Forest paradise". Every little detail has been carefully thought of, we could not find any faults, as soon as I walked in I was in love with the whole aspect of the set up, thank you so much to you and our son ,who booked our stay as part of our 30 day stay. One problem only arose, and that was 'you just don't want to get out of there', the wood burner was such a welcome treat,...........pity about the Melbourne weather,!!!!!!!!!! the rain and cold seemed to follow us from home in Lancashire U.K. So much to do around Healesville, we spent a wonderful day at the wild life sanctuary, we visited Maryeville and the falls, so many fantastic memories of our wonderful stay and not forgetting the wineries. Now back home in Chorley, going into winter, but thank you Melbourne and all that was part of our holiday, dreaming of coming back one day.............hopefully soon.........x Pat and Alec Turner

Room Tip: Dreamwood was perfect!

We had a wonderful 3 night stay in The Ferns cottage and loved it. It was true luxury accommodation in an absolutely delightful setting. The breakfast provisions were first class and the extra touches of special biscuits and chocolates were a lovely surprise. There were candles everywhere which added to a relaxing stay in a warm, cosy and beautiful cottage.
