Valley Farm Vineyard

Superb value! From our welcome to our departure my sister and I had an awesome time. Very roomy and tasteful accommodation. We enjoyed the hot spa in the late afternoons with the alpacas and vineyards surrounding us. We enjoyed bbqing and relaxing on our balcony. Sox the muppet dog was our loyal friend throughout our stay. The walks along the aquaduct are fantastic too. This must be the best place to stay in Healesville. I'm recommending it to all my friends and family. Thank you Greg and Louise! :)

I stayed here with my partner for two nights, but wish it could have been more. The space (the 2-person cottage) was lovely, with a fully-equipped kitchen incl. cooktop, BBQ, and modern decor, and was up to the highest standards of cleanliness when we arrived. We ordered a couple of bottles of the place's Trellis wine for when we arrived, and were glad we did; we especially recommend the Syrah. The view from the floor-to-ceiling front windows--over the vineyard--was incredible, and it was great to see the alpacas and the kookaburra outside throughout the day. There is a little breakfast table on the front (or back?) porch that looks out over tall trees and a green field. We brought a few DVDs to keep us entertained, and spent a couple of cozy nights under the blanket watching movies and admiring the evening view. The famous Sox stayed outside our door throughout both days we were there, and took us for a walk around the back of the property. He was so sweet, although I know I was a bit of a slow walker for him (taking too many photos!). When we arrived, Louise was incredibly friendly and hospitable, and showed us everything we needed to know about the cottage, as well as taking the time to point out some of the better wineries to visit in the area. Later that evening, Greg was kind enough to drive us down to the nearby restaurant (try it out--Innocent Bystander in Healesville) where we had dinner reservations, so we didn't have to pay for a cab both ways. We felt immediately at home there, and would return any time (hopefully soon). I'll be recommending this place to all my friends in nearby Melbourne. If you're looking to stay in the Yarra Valley, this is the place to be!

Nice place to relax for a few days, tidy, clean and peaceful - good location to base yourself for Yarra valley drives. Will definitely come back. Thanks to Sox for taking us for a walk, such a well behaved friendly dog!

My girlfriends and I did a lot of searching for the perfect weekend location and were so pleased with our choice. Greg was very quick in confirming a great rate and was full of information and suggestions for a fun weekend away. The cottage (#3) was perfect and best of all was the use of the spa in the late afternoon. We did a great wine tour (Wombat Wine tours) and had a great walk the next morning with Sox. Highly recommend this property. A+

Room Tip: Cottage #3 has 3 bedrooms and a great lounge/dining area with a log fire.

Absolutely worth, nice layout, very clean, in-house fireplace, bbq facility. Great location right next to vineyard and a walk trail just footsteps away.

Not to forget Sox was very friendly :)

Only one recommendation (possible improvement), outdoor heater might be a good idea since outside get cold in the night in the proximity with forest area. Visitors can take along some warm clothes.

Room Tip: Any room would be good, we stayed in 2 bed room cottage

Only a few minutes from the centre of Healesville, our cottage was so welcoming and comfortable with everything you could need. Coming from North Queensland, the heating lights in the bathroom were a bonus for us. The view from our large glass windows while eating breakfast was of green fields, the vineyard and about 20 alpacas. In in the evening these were joined by kookaburras. Sox, the owners' dog, is a treasure. Greg and Sox greeted us on arrival and made us feel right at home from the start. Sox accompanied us on walks and was our constant companion for the whole time we were there - he loves his cuddles. We left feeling totally relaxed and mellow.
