Very clean and lovely venue. Food is what you would expect. .Tom yum soup , crab and chicken and mushrooms soup was excellent. Also our main is not the best..but good portion size for value. .bit disappointed with the fruit salad. .it was looked very pale and out from the tins.and lots of liquid in there.

My family of 8 visited the cherry tree restaurant over the long weekend. Service was great. Food was authentic and very fresh. Would recommend to others.

“Excellent serivce, value for money”

Me and my partner dined here on the last night of our stay in Healsville. As a lover of Chinese food I was not disappointed in our meal. The décor of the restaurant was excellent and the service was wonderful. Our entrée was Chinese sausage and Chicken & Sweet Corn Soup. Both were amazing and came in a timely manner. The Chinese tea was also commendable. Fried rice and Sweet & Sour pork followed. Full of flavor and cooked to perfection. The portions were exactly enough for the two of us and for $40 it was a very good price. We gave our compliments to the chef for the meal. Definitely the 'Cherry' on top of our trip to Healsville.

“Flavours and freshness not great”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 May 2014

We chose this restaurant as it said Hong Kong style food - I've had Hong Kong style and I've had Schezwan style and both dishes we ordered were not that tasty - edible is about as far as I would describe it. The barbecue pork in the schezwan sauce tasted slightly stale - the schezwan sauce not the best. The chicken in the chicken and vegetables dish I think had been marinated in either too much baking soda or for too long as it no longer resembled chicken in texture. The vegetable spring rolls were not properly drained and I had to use two paper serviettes to mop up the oil before I would let my grand-daughter eat them. I've eaten a lot of "chinese" food in my time and this wasn't one of the best. I feel I could have produced better at home

A positive would be the restaurant looks beautiful - lovely white tablecloths and an inviting atmosphere.

“Bad service , revolting food”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 February 2014

Had a beautiful weekend in Healesville , final night dinner at The Cherry Tree . Young inexperience waitress was extremely rude and back chatted us as we complained about the seafood extender in the burnt and in edible Malaysia rice . The food was sadly presented and was of the poorest quality for the prices charged . At the end of the night the waitress was extremely rude and as we left was chased across the street from the chief demanding more money from us as we unsatisfied by the bad service and food provided . We noticed there was 3 other Asian restaurants in Healesville and would highly recommend these than this cheap nasty food that the Cherry Tree tried to serve . Once we complained the extremely rude waitress vocalized our distaste for our meal in front of other guests and staff ... Advice , go elsewhere
