It is impossible to miss the huge three storey mansion on a major intersection in the middle of Lancefield. Emblazoned across it is Antique Centre of Victoria and sure enough, inside you will find room up to room crammed full of antiques. This beautiful and well cared for building began life in 1887 as a guesthouse. It was located on a branch line from the main Melbourne-Bendigo route to Kilmore, which closed in the 1950's.
Besides selling antiques there is a wonderful restaurant on the second floor which serves everything from Devonshire teas to full meals. The shady veranda has the best view over Lancefield and the perfect spot to rest for a while.
