I stayed here for 1 night during a trip out to East Gippsland. The hostel contains a nice bar and lounge area to relax and there was a nice open fire burning. The two owners were very friendly and sociable. It seemed very sociable the evening I was there and I got chatting to lots of other backpackers who were staying there working on local farms.
The rooms were basic but the bed were reasonably comfortable. The only downside of the place is that the toilets and showers are not the cleanest.
Location is great on the main street in Mafra with an IGA across the road, Coles / Wollies (cant remember which) a few doors up the street and a few small cheap eat places on the streets.
I'd definitely stay again if visiting the area. It's so beautiful out that way and not a lot of tourists / backpackers venture out there.
