We arrived a little early for check in and told that our room would be ready a 2pm, when we went to check in at 2.30pm room was still not ready. Thankfully another staff member overheard and offered us a different room. The room was standard and oldish, the pool area which is right off all the rooms was clean and was welled used by us and other guests during our stay. If you are after somewhere to sleep this motel is fine, if you are after a nice room, then maybe choose something else.

While we only stayed here one night we found this to be a great place to stay and the cost was very reasonable. The amenities were great and bistro in the Hotel was lovely. It was very busy due to the time of year but the staff never stopped running. The room in the motel which was joined to the hotel was spacious and very comfortable. We would definitely return.

We had an overnight stay here while taking the "coast road" from Sydney to Melbourne. We were offered a "3 star" or "4 star" room so asked if we could see both. The "3 star" rooms were unappealing so we chose the "4 star" option. The room was very tastefully done and was clean, tidy and comfortable.
While we were there the weather was wet and cold so it limited opportunities to walk around and explore. It appeared to be a great spot for anyone interested in camping and fishing.
There were limited cafes and restaurants and some were closed.

Stayed here over the weekend of 19th October. There was major works being done on the power for the entire area. The Motel had a generator running which kept the basic power going. The staff were great in letting us know what was going on and when the power would be off and back on again. The room we had was a double room (2&2) and had 4 beds (one being double). Was clean and all appliances worked, what more can you ask for.

My room was clean. It appeared to have been recently repainted. It was quite small in a typical box shape. The en-suite was very small. The toilet flush did not work correctly. The furniture was basic and old but the bed was new. The wardrobe looked pre-war. The air conditioning worked adequately but as the ambient temperature was low 20's I doubt if it would be up to the job on a hot summer day. The kettle was good but the cord was short and I had to search to find a power point that was low enough to use it. There was a lovely LED bedside light. it did not work. The digital TV was new. There was no telephone but there was what looked like an un-terminated telephone cable coming out of the wall. Closing the door from inside the room took some effort and as a result was noisy. The room was noisy with animals or birds walking on the roof and noise from cars on the street. There is a large pool which I did not use. I am sure there are better places to stay.

Arrived late to the hotel and about to get into bed when we found the bead sheets were dirty. Stains on the pillow cases and Ben linen. The staff was very attentive and changed us to another room however, the heater sounded like a truck in this room, the tap next door which had no one in it would keep going off all night and the radio went on full blast at 6am!! Someone did come eventually to turn it off however we had to listen to it for over an hour. For what we paid and what we got, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. We cancelled the test of our weekend here and went elsewhere.

Boiled vegies no effort in making food taste even average. Very thin steak. If possible limit visit to end of week a couple of alternatives are open then the golf club and take away in main street. This is a very small and isolated town so choices are few. Stayed in rooms on another visit they are average country pub standard better alternatives the silver bream or blue wren motels for a few dollar's more. Great town for a quiet holiday particularly if you like fishing or some bushwalking.
