I was only passing through Mansfield on a road trip around the wineries and scenery of Victoria. I picked the Mansfield Motel, because it seemed to have the highest standards of the various independent motels in the town. It is also close to the "centre" of the town, although it is a pretty small town. It is also just off the main drag, so is pretty quiet.
Independently owned and recently refurbished the Motel has high standards of décor, services and maintenance. I was pretty impressed with the spacious room. There is also a small pool. Minor quibbles - you need to pay for wifi and at $155 AUS per rom per night I thought it was a little more expensive than the competition considering it was out of season - however it seemed over half full, so others obviously reached the same conclusion as me that it was a notch higher than the other places in town and the market will clearly bear that rate. Recommend - yes if you are in the area.
