We stayed 3 nights at the Best Western Plus of Mornington over New Year having arrived direct from the UK. The check-in assistant was helpful and provided some maps and detail on the local area. The rooms were large and clean, the bed was very comfortable and the kitchenette space was useful. The rooms was serviced well each day.

As we didn't have a car, a few more details on what was available nearby by foot would have been welcome. As it transpires there are a couple of petrol stations nearby at the non beach end of Tanti Aveneue which are open into the evening and can be used for purchasing sundries. I mention this as Mornington is probably best described as 'sleepy' after 9pm when virtually everything seemed to close.

However, the hotel itself served its purpose well, was within walking distance of the beach and I would use it again the next time we are in that part of the world.

Overall we can say that The Best Western Brooklands of Mornington have a quiet but convenient location. We stayed recently for our weekend away to celebrate our Anniversary...

At first the check in was not the most pleasant as the girl on the Front Desk was not very warm or welcoming at all. We felt that they were doing us a favour to check us in...

However, when we arrive to the room, the suite was fantastically decorated, it was spacious and the spa was comfortable enough to actually fit 2 guests.... In the package it was included the breakfast in the room. Definitely was not the best option to have as Mornington is full of fantastic cafes offering better options.

This Breakfast was super overpriced, pretty much the options here were either an omelette or some other style of eggs with toast....ah and juice...the only good thing that made our breakfast pleasant was the Chef. He was very friendly and understanding of real customer service.

We would recommend this hotel just to stay overnight if you are on your way to somewhere else like Sorrento. In general is just OK...

Set in landscaped gardens it looks very appealing. The room was very clean but a faint odour of cigarette smoke spoiled it a bit, in a supposedly non-smoking venue. The location was excellent and all facilities were up to scratch.

This hotel feels very new and is well-maintained. We stayed for 2 nights and enjoyed the spacious studio room with heaps of windows and a balcony to sit out on.
The kitchenette area was great and the room was clean.
The bed was extremely comfy and huge!
We went in the heated spa and indoor pool. During winter I can see this a being good. It was great to have hotel pool towels to use as well.
The only minor things that annoyed us was having a room on the road end of the motel so we did hear traffic and also the stairs were outside our door and we did hear them sometimes during the night.
We walked to the beach and into town for dinner so the location is also good.

Room Tip: Ask to NOT have room 45 and 46 due their location near the road and stairs.

Room was clean and spacious to accomodate 3 adults. We made use of the in-door pool which has a jacuzzi. Location was also good as nearby eateries. Check in and out were fast. Very Happy with our stay in this Hotel.

My wife and I had to make a last minute reservation and found the Best Western Brooklands available and in our price range. We arrived past suggested check-in time of 8pm and they were eager to meet us. The room was a Studio room and it was spacious, clean and had everything we needed and more. The main thing was the staff was great with our questions, great restaurant and winery suggestions and could not have been more amenable to us. We used the pool and hottub which was great after a day of touring wineries in the rain and even used the laundry facilities. The hotel was close to everything we needed. If ever we are back in this area, I will certainly book here again.

My only complaint was that while internet was included, it was slow and sometimes would disconnect and we would have to continue to try to reconnect. Other than that, we loved the accommodations. We stayed there on Nov 28-29, 2013.

I stayed here with my fiance for my mum's wedding held at the function place on site. The staff were friendly and very helpful and we had no issues with them at all.

The room (we had the most basic room they offer I believe) was nice and large as well as being clean apart from a few bugs. We couldn't hear noise from other rooms either however on Saturday night we could hear loud music from the function place until nearly midnight. It would have been annoying to try to sleep through. In the bathroom they have wall dispensers for soap, shampoo and conditioner which is fine but these obviously are not checked by the room cleaners as some of ours were empty and this was annoying.

We did not eat at the hotel but a number of our friends and family also staying did and said the food was delicious.

The mini bar was just ok. Other facilities looked nice such as the pool but we did not have time to check these out. It was nice to have a chair and table outside our room too and it was pleasant to sit outside. Each room has one car spot that is free to use too which was good.

I did not bother to try the wifi as you only get 15min free before you have to pay and it was expensive. I travel a lot for work and much prefer hotels that use a free data quota rather than a time limit.

Overall we had a nice experience but given the price and what you get for it I probably would not return here unless it was for another wedding held at Brooklands.
