Don't be naive about the term cellar door when you elect to eat in the cellar door area. We sampled the wines and ordered a bottle to drink with our food. When we sat at the table and ordered food it was quite delicious. We were however stunned when our bill arrived and the wine was $28 dearer than when we ordered it at the wine tasting area which was 3 metres from where we sat to eat. When we queried the price increase the manager said that we should have read the price on the food menu even though we had not been given a copy whilst in the wine tasting area. She then proceeded to tell us that the bistro wine prices were dearer than the wine cellar prices. We explained that we were eating in the cellar door area and not the bistro. With this she rudely and abruptly left. What a poor performance on her behalf and what a ridiculous explanation. Management needs to get their story right and read their own website.
