As this was a return visit says it all. we enjoyed our time spent with Chris, Charlie and their doggie family last year and couldn't resist coming back -
hospitality and Charlie's first class meals made it a very easy choice

On arrival we were personally greeted by Chris and Charlie and given a tour of the property. Our dogs, Wilbur and Charlie were treated beautifully and given some of Chris's hand baked treats while we had some delicious home baked muffins. Charlie (host, not our dog), prepared slow cooked pork belly for dinner; a truly deliciously prepared main course which was followed by Chris's delightful berry cheesecake. The following day Charlie took us on a tour of the district, pointing out suitable places for the dogs to play and swim as well as introducing us to some of the local vintners. Chris and Charlie have done their homework by listing all the dog friendly wineries in the district for their guests. The've set the standard for hospitality, especially dog friendly accommodation. The backyard is secure for dogs and they happily baby sit your dogs if you wish. The bed is extremely comfortable and high quality Manchester is selected for bedroom and bathroom. The property is fresh and clean; there are no doggy smells and their dogs are very friendly towards the visitors. Charlie's breakfasts , whether they be his scrumptious pancakes or another of his cooked delights are a great start to your day.

Room Tip: We stayed in the chandelier suite which was a good size for us as were there a week. The smaller ga...

Excellent hospitality shown by the charming Chris and Charles, not only to us but also to our dog. A personal and warm welcome made us feel at home right away. The accommodation was neater and cleaner than any other on our 2 week road trip holiday, and the bed by far the most comfortable. A definite highlight was the delicious and very generous breakfast the next morning. The only regret I have is that we had only booked one night - next time we'll stay for at least two and book in Charles's wine tour while Chris looks after Archie. Loved it.

From the moment we arrived we were given a warm welcome, shown around the property and provided with home cooked muffins for afternoon tea and some special doggy treats for our dog Blaze.

Charlie and Chris were full of ideas for this to do and places to eat and provided a wonderful fact sheet listing these.

We only stayed 2 nights to do the Vinyard trek and wished it was longer, but alas we had commitments at home to return too.

We can thoroughly recommend this B & B to anyone with dogs.

Thank you Charlie and Chris for your wonderful hospitality, great breakfasts (loved the pancakes) and great stories.

Next trip to Rutherglen we'll be back!

Chris & Charles were magnificent hosts, very caring indeed and great to be among true dog lovers. I took my two mini Schnauzers, old Ricky and Jazz. They had just as much fun as I did. A lovely comfortable stay in the Garden Suite was just what we needed. I just wish I could have stayed longer. Chris was right, Charles' wonderful pancakes for breakfast kept me going all day! The best I've ever tasted. Can't wait to come back and stay longer. It's real peace of mind to know that my doggies are safe and happy, while I get to enjoy the fantastic region and all that Rutherglen has to offer. Great work Chris & Charles, see you again! Woof, woof from the furry ones!! xx

Room Tip: The garden suite was ideal for me as a single traveller, very cosy.

My daughter and I went with Rex her German Shepherd for 3 nights to stay at this delightful B&B in Rutherglen. We attended the Wine Experience so Rex stayed home with Chris and Charlie. He had fun and we were able to enjoy ourselves. I would recommend Must Love Dogs to anybody and their dogs.

Room Tip: Only two suites so I would say both are great

We had a wonderful stay with Chris, Charlies and their 4 dogs. The love and attention given to our two dogs was amazing whilst we were out exploring the region. The breakfasts are to die for, we all had a great time. Thanks Chris and Charlie!
