“A Good Night's Sleep!”
Reviewed 21 October 2013

All I needed was somewhere to rest my head for one night, and to also carry out my ablutions. The Warburton Motel satisfied these needs admirably. The motel looks old and tired, but it was clean and contained everything we needed for a comfortable night. If you need good, plain, clean, comfortable accommodation, then this motel is the one for you. If, on the other hand, you want luxury and modern surroundings, then it is not. I thought it was decent value for money, as comfort and cleanliness are paramount to me!

Room Tip: If you want views, then you will want an upstairs room.

Far from new but everything worked and it was clean and bright. Lovely surrounding gardens with tree ferns, tall trees and a very friendly cat. At Reception, Franz was funny and very helpful regarding local attractions and how to find them. The only minus was the provision of postage stamp-sized toilet tissues! Comfortable and we would stay there again.

Most of our family stayed in cabins at the Warburton Caravan Park. This was not our style but just across the road is the Warburton Motel hidden away in the trees on the hillside. We had an upstairs room with great views across the valley. The room also had a door to the back balcony with a view of the gardens. It has convenient onsite car parking although the driveways both front and back are rather steep. The room was very clean and neat with all the expected motel extras. The management was friendly and helpful. The air cond cooled the room quickly to a pleasant temp open our return after a warm day out. It is a short walk through the caravan park (public access) to the banks of the upper Yarra River where you can swim, fish or just sit and relax. The main town is a 1.5 km pleasant flat walk to cafes and shops. This is truly a hidden jewel in the Warburton accommodation selection.

A fairly basic motel. The rooms are older in style and furnishing but clean and the owners are very nice to deal with. A good place to rest your head for the night but maybe not for a romantic weekend.

The rooms are fine, the bathrooms clean and have nice touchs including shampoo etc, but it's a little tired. The bed was the issue really with being bounced aroung everytime my partner moved! That said after a long day cycling I did sleep!
I will stay again - the price is fair for what you get and the owners are very welcoming.

We really enjoyed our recent stay at this motel. We had the spa room which is much larger than the others and has a lovely aspect to the very pretty gardens. The car park is right outside your windows, but it doesn't feel intrusive because the inner curtain layers filters the light.

The room was spotless, very charming and the extra little touches included fresh flowers and sweets. Franz and Lana are very welcoming and helpful with any small request like local directions, extra bath salts for the spa, or whatever you may require. We felt very welcomed and looked after.

Warburton has two sections and the motel is closer to the quieter part of town, but still very close to the section with the cafes and restaurants. You can walk it in about 10 minutes.

Room Tip: For really excellent coffee, try the Warburton Pantry in the main part of town.

Let me start by saying, Warburton is a small sleepy town located in Yarra Valley. The people, the pace, the restaurants and cafes are all laid back. That's exactly what Warburton Motel is. Laid back, comfy, cosy and friendly. The owners take time to greet visitors personally and are extremely helpful. Hans even took us out on a spin across town, when he discovered we weren't traveling in a car. Lovely experience. Tucked away on one side of the town, this motel is ideal for those who want to discover nature and go for long walks. Would love to return.
