Prior to this, our first visit, we had read some reviewers rave about their Monday Foodie Nights. So we were there a few Monday's ago and so very glad we were! On offer that evening was their Fish Pie paired with a mysterious white wine - the friendly and gracious hostess insisted that their Fish Pie was famous. It was humongous but I finished every bit of it like a wolf. We also had the Chargrilled zucchini and fresh herb salad, the Thyme and rosemary crusted lamb rack, and the fish of the day. All of which were good. We tried their paddle of beer sampler and our faves seemed to be the Pale Ale, ESB and the Stout. Because we had just landed in Melbourne that noon from a red-eye flight, we left before finding out what the white wine was but it was very aromatic and went perfectly well with the Fish Pie - I was told it was not New World, hmmm. The secret is out - you have to go try for yourself!
