What a superb location! Set on a hill with expansive 180 degree views of the bordering mountains and countryside, this is an idyllic spot for a relaxing getaway. In the evenings the local mob of kangaroos and local alpacas graze nonchalantly in the surrounding paddock, as the sun descends over the mountains. All of which you can watch from the veranda which fronts the property.
We stayed for 3 days and our lovely hostess Peta, upgraded us to a fantastic room that overlooks the valley. It was nicely decorated and the bed was extremely comfortable. In the afternoons, the fire was lit and one could relax in the drawing room enjoying freshly made biscuits and tea (or a gin and tonic). The meals that Peta makes are delicious, from her full English breakfasts to the lamb shanks for supper. Very generous portions!
While the views and accommodation are fantastic, the icing on the cake has to be Peta's welcoming disposition. From the get-go, Peta ensured that we had everything we needed and gave useful advice about local attractions. She is a very attentive hostess and we look forward to returning next time we need to re-energise.More
