“Clean, Recently Refreshed”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 December 2013

This hotel was recently heavily renovated. The lobby structure has changed and the rooms are all freshly painted with new carpets, furniture and fixtures. So, needless to say the rooms are very clean. The structure of the rooms have not changed. They are good sized and the bathrooms are quite modest in size. Generally the rooms are equipped as you would expect a mid-priced hotel to be.

I have stayed at this hotel multiple times in the past, but had a new experience this trip. The hotel has two parts, one entered by the elevator in the lobby and the other in a second building which sits over the parking garage. I was on the 5th floor of the second building which meant I was on the floor immediately above the parking garage on a very cold night (20's). The floor, especially the tiled bathroom floor, of the room I was in was VERY cold. I would encourage you not to take the 5th floor of the second building in cold weather.

The staff at this hotel has always been friendly. There is a fee to park and more of a fee if you want to valet park.

Room Tip: On a cold night, do not stay on the 5th floor of the second building.

This hotel is very nice. The decor in the rooms and lobbies is fresh and well taken care of. My one major complaint about this hotel is that the ramp out of the parking garage is too steep. My minivan bottoms out every time I exit the garage, scraping my bumper. They offer valet parking, so many people may not even know that the bottom of their vehicle is getting damaged! Hopefully the potential repair costs aren't more than the amount I paid to use the garage.

Thank you for taking the time to submit a review. First of all, thank you for your compliments of the hotel and we are glad you enjoyed your stay. Secondly, I want to apologize for the garage experience. Unfortunately we are unable to amend the way our ramp ties in to the city street, but our valet service has perfected their ability to take our lower-riding guest vehicles at the appropriate angle to avoid any undercarriage damage. Should you need additional assistance please feel free to contact our General Manager, Jeff Charo at jeff.charo@interstatehotels.com. We hope to see you in the future - and we will find alternative parking arrangements for your minivan. I will be happy to personally assist you in making your future reservations - melanie.johnston@interstatehotels.com.

My husband and I recently traveled to Nashville for a couple of nights. We stayed at the Courtyard by Marriott Nashville Vanderbilt/West End on the 2nd night of our trip and if I had know how easy it was to get around and down to Broadway from this hotel we would have stayed here both nights. There were some issues with taxi and cabs holding up the parking lot but other than that it was a wonderful experience. We preferred being in the second tower and being able to park our own car in the deck and enter the hotel through the secured elevator. I would highly recommend this hotel :)

This hotel is very nice. Clean rooms/ comfortable beds/nice strong shower. Rooms are tastefully decorated.. The staff is super friendly- loved the free shuttle downtown.
the only downside :
Small vanity in bathroom. It's trivial but we travel a lot and this is one if the smallest I've seen. MY stuff barely fit on it. Hubby had to keep his in his travel bag.
Not the site locations fault (corporate!!) just keep it in mind when packing.
Yea- we will stay here again

We had a great stay at the Marriot Courtyard Westend Nashville.
This was our first visit to Nashville and the front desk staff was very helpful when we had questions. Maid service was good. The covered parking was good. Make sure you check in first before parking since you need your room key to get into the parking area. Some of the parking spaces were a little small so if your taking a full size car you will want to pick the larger parking spaces if possible. The shuttle that took us to and from the downtown area was very good. We never waited for more than 5 minutes to get a ride from the hotel. Make sure you ask where the pickup is when you are in the downtown area for the shortest wait time getting back to the hotel. We didn't wait more than 10 minutes for a ride back to the hotel.

Room Tip: We stayed in tower two which was easy access to the covered parking.

Location is a bit tricky/challenging to get into (on busy corner) but the staff was very accommodating. My van has a trailer hitch on it that made entering the steep parking garage almost impossible. The valet immediately offered the employee lot as an option and the front desk staff allowed me to park in the traffic circle for short periods of time. Extremely helpful suggestions (even printed a menu out for us) for a late night but nearby restaurant. I found the color scheme to be garish but it is new and clean. Shuttle drivers were extremely courteous, efficient and very interesting to talk to.

This hotel is very nice, I think recently remodeled, and very comfortable. The location is very convenient to Vanderbilt and Belmont Universities which is why we chose it when we were recently making college visits. The room was very comfortable, but the West End area is very noisy in general with loud music outside the hotel. It did not bother us, but it may bother other people who like a lot of quiet. We were very tired, and so just ordered food from the cafe downstairs, and found the food to be very good and convenient. Had we wanted to venture out, there are many, many restaurants within short walking distance of the hotel. We used the valet parking which was most convenient. The valet was very courteous and quick to retrieve our car when we needed it. Overall, I would recommend this hotel and plan to stay there again when we visit that part of Nashville.
