It is a hands on educational place. My kiddos loved everything about this place. The have new exhibits from time to time, that way you will always see and play with new things every time you go. Also the have this great slides at the very top the the center. Kids will be tired when you leave which is the best part. Food are in not that great, just good enough to get a small snack.

This attraction gives different things for people to do from kids to adults . It allows kids the climb between floors, slide, and play with different things to explain science . They had exhibits that explain the human body, dinosaurs, and the solar system. These exhibits give the children hours of different things to experience , and on the first floor that exhibit changes sometimes. So it is not the same thing over and over . It makes things fun while also explaining how things work in nature and in science. And now instead of vending machines on the second floor they have a subway so everyone can have lunch too

We were not very impressed with our visit to the science center. First off it's more for SMALL children. Teenagers will be bored. I was also disappointed in the Planetarium show. All three of us fell asleep during the show. For the price of admission and the show I expected a whole lot more. However, the Blue Max motion ride was a lot of fun.

We took three children--5, 9 and 11--and they all enjoyed it. Lots of hands-on, MOST of the exhibits worked (which is a pitfall at many science museums), and there was a good variety. Don't miss the Starwalk--we almost did. It's on the second floor-a random sign down a corridor said, "Starwalk" so I checked it out--peeked behind two sets of curtains into dark rooms and just braved it--and found a cool hallway to walk through that makes you feel like you are walking in space surrounded by stars!

The tower was a challenge for my 40-something self, but it was worth it to go up 7 floors to the top of the pyramid--can't stand up straight for the last 2 or 3 floors, but my 11 year old wanted me to do it and I"m glad I did.

Very fun afternoon--

This is a nice science center located on the south side of Nashville. Easy to access with plenty of parking too. Two story complex which helps keep it from getting too crowded. This definitely has a science background and not just a play area. They typically have some nice traveling exhibits in addition to the permanent displays. For food they have a Subway on the second floor or they do allow you to bring your lunch if you eat in the outside picnic area. They also allow re-entry if you want to go to a nearby restaurant. Good for most children (ours were 3 and 5) but older than 10 might get bored quicker. You can easily spend 3-4 hours here before seeing everything. They also have a planetarium.
