The gardens here are lovely and there's an exhibit of giant wood scup
Lot urges of various bugs - very cool! The mansion had an exhibit of Andy Warhol Flowers. I'm not a huge fan of his, so we didn't spend much time in there. If you have kids with you, they have a great play area.

We went mid-week so no crowds. Helpful info at visitors centre. These gardens are a beautiful walk with sculptures scattered through out. The family home at the top of the hill is a wonderful insight into times past.

We have visited cheek wood many times and is always interesting. Everything from beautiful flowere to mazes to tree houses to tour. One time when my daughter was about 5, we were walking on the past looking at the flowers and passes a man working there watering the flowers. My daughter was looking at him and tripped, landing in the flowers. She accidently broke several of the plant stems. She hurt her knee and was crying. The man never asked if she was ok just said "you need to keep the kid off the flowers." It is ashame that she was there to see the childrens exhibit and then the staff person was very rude.

We recently visited Cheekwood and enjoyed it greatly. The gardens and flowers are beautiful. The paths are laid out well and make it very easy to wander through the gardens. The "Bugs" exhibit is very cool. This a great place to take beautiful pictures. The Warhol art exhibit is a little bland but the gardens are great. Plan to spend 2 to 3 hours here. The $14 admission is very fair for this botanical gardens. Plan to go again in a few months.

Was here again recently for a private event on a beautiful evening. The Cheek mansion is always a treat to go into. The Warhol exhibit isn't my favorite and I wouldn't come solely to see it but it was nice to view. My wife and I enjoy the grounds....you can truly find many solitary picturesque places to sit and talk while enjoying the foliage, trees or the various outdoor exhibits that change over time.

Cheekwood has the highest rating that an Arboretum can have in the state of TN (level 4 and I believe the only one in the mid state). Trees and plants are well labeled and they've got beautiful mature trees to appreciate.

I've not eaten in the Pineapple Room (restaurant) for 30 years (wow I sound old!) but it is still there and it has a loyal following.
