We stayed here for two nights. This hotel certainly deserves its high rating. From the from door where we were met the friendly, efficient and knowledgeable staff to the excellent front desk staff to the housekeeping staff, we were made to feel like we were the most important guests at the hotel. The rooms were spacious, very well appointed, clean and very comfortable. We had drinks in the Oak Bar and dinner at the Capitol Grille. Everything was just as you would expect in a property like this. If your staying in Nashvliie, this is the place to stay. You won't be sorry.

Recently stayed for 3 nights in this grand hotel. It was wonderful! From the moment your drive up, to being escorted to your room.....everyone is professional and welcoming. If not staying, just a visit would be warranted.....not to miss out! Linens, towels, bathroom ammenties, superb! Housekeeping, one of the best! Reason for 4 vs 5 star, view was quiet not there....outside windows do need cleaning. That aside, you WILL BE impressed. Also, Vicky the concierge is a true, knowledgable professional. Very sweet and easy personality. Do not miss out on viewing the men's bathroom by the bar....even as a woman.....it must be viewed (just make sure no guys are in there at the time).

Room Tip: higher floors better

During my trips to Nashville I've checked most of local hotels, but since I've spent couple days at Hermitage, I always trying stay there if them avalible.
There is no critical remarks I can give at all - absolute perfect stay at all the points. Location is an ideal for downtown walks. Rooms are big and perfectly clean and fresh. Unbeliveble nice and helpful staff, any possible questions, even if it's far not about the stay find it's decision fast and easy.
AND - them have an opening windows! Even don't have claustrophobia, I don't like to be trapped with no chance for fresh air.
I definitely recomend it.

WOW! What a great property. They do it right. Wonderful service and fantastic room looking at the capitol. Walking distance to the Ryman and Broadway. Oak Bar is phenomenal. Stayed at two "Historic Hotels of America" thius trip and the Hermatige far exceeds the Grand in Fairhope, AL. Marriott should be embarrassed. Service at the Hermatige is superb. Freindly, welcoming, and very accomodating. Parking is a trifle expensive.

The lobby is worth the visit by itself, really spectacular. The Concierge, Vickie, is extremely helpful. We caused a major accident in our room and the team fixed it in no time and witht he utmost professionalism. This is how hotels should be run. All GMs can take a lesson from the Hermitage. You can have the beautiful building but the stafff bring it to life.

Room Tip: It is worth the extra to face the Capitol building.

We stayed in this luxurious hotel for 2 nights, this past December, and it was probably the best experience we've ever had. We were in town to see the Vince Gill / Amy Grant Christmas show at the Ryman, which is within walking distance of the Hermitage. Our room was beautiful, spacious and very clean with top-of- the-line bed linens and pillows (with extras in the closet) I've never written about a bathroom before, but this one was awesome! It was huge with a very deep soaking tub and a large walk in shower. Our room also had one of the nicest mini bars, that I've ever seen, with ANYTHING and EVERYTHING you could possibly think of. Take some time to tour this grand, historic hotel. Hear some of the interresting stories told by, possibly, the best staff in the business, who really know how to treat their guests! We enjoyed our stay so much that we will probably make it a yearly weekend get away. Yes, it is a little expensive but definately worth the splurge!

Room Tip: I'm thinking there aren't any bad rooms here. We were on the 2nd floor and it was very quie...

Our stay in this luxurious hotel was everything we expected. The lobby is spectacular, and our room was spacious, comfortable and extremely clean. Every single person we encountered was friendly but also professional. Highlights of our room: The view from 408--gorgeous, looking right out on the capitol building; the phenomenal shower and bathtub; super-comfy bed linens; coffee in the lobby in the mornings and lemonade with cookies in the afternoon. The location is close enough to walk to the downtown music venues, too.

We had a terrific stay in Nashville, and we can't wait to come back. We will most definitely be staying at the Hermitage next time!

Room Tip: We had a junior suite on the fourth floor (408), which was a corner room with views of the capitol...

Stayed at the Hermitage for 2 nights in May while en route to Memphis from Knoxville. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay - everyone was so nice and helpful: true Southern Hospitality at this hotel. Lobby is breathtaking, concierge is accommodating, and the front desk are very sweet and welcoming. The room was beautiful and comfortable - the bathroom especially, I could live in their bathtub! Hotel is close enough to everything to check out, I like that it's a little more separated -felt very quiet at nighttime. The Oak Room was great for breakfast and even better for dinner. Hotel gift shop had great items and even some locally made handbags, which I found to be a great gift and souvenir for myself. Would definitely stay here when returning to Nashville.
