“History in all its a Glory!”

As you walk in its like taking steps back in history! The lobby is breathtaking! It felt like this was exactly how it looked when it first opened its doors. We were warmly welcomed and found the concierge desk extremely helpful with reservations and directions. The room was beautiful and well maintained. It was really convenient to most downtown Nashville attractions, within walking distance to most places. The restaurant and bar was usually busy but the food and service were excellent.

Room Tip: There really isn't a view from most of the rooms. The room we had was very comfortable.

This is a beautiful old hotel that has been immaculately maintained. The restaurant is beyond delicious. The bar reeks testosterone. Great location. Nice rooms. Great bathrooms. Lobby to die for. I was there for business but it would be a great place for a romantic getaway.

I researched a lot of hotels in all of Nashville before selecting this hotel. From the minute we were greeted by Valet and the door man, I knew we chose wisely. Every employee was awesome, but we loved Joe the doorman the best. The rooms are spacious with great bedding and nice amenities. A great shower with great pressure. It is easy to get around to everything from here. It was worth every dollar spent!

As the other reviewers have described, the Hermitage is a grand lady. This was Nashville's first million dollar hotel and back in that day it must have been quite a treat to stay here. Service was excellent, the large room was beautiful and the lobby was a work of art. There was even a Nespresso machine in the room with your choice of espresso, regular and decaf coffee.
The only thing keeping this from perfect was the availability of hot water in the shower. It was cold and rainy during our 3 night stay and a hot shower would have been a treat. Plumbing in old properties is always a challenge but when you are staying in a 5 star hotel, you expect everything to be 'just right". We were only on the 4th floor so it was disappointing to take a warm/cool/then warm then cool shower. Also, even though the Capital Grille serves breakfast, there is nothing special on the menu. Walk two blocks to Pucketts and try the Southern Stack. It is a great hangover cure.

We aren't super fancy people so I was surprised when my husband booked our anniversary night here. From the second we pulled in to the valet parking until the next morning when we picked up our vehicle, we were made to feel at home! Andy welcomed us at the front door. Our room was actually upgraded because it was our anniversary and really because the staff is just amazing. Our room was stunning. We ate dinner in the restaurant there and it was wonderful and our server excellent. We decided to try to do this every year. If you are there for a special occasion or just want to spoil yourself - have a bath drawn for yourself! Everyone who worked there smiled at us and spoke to us. Again, there is nothing remotely pretentious about us but we never met a single employee who treated us odd. Everyone congratulated us on our anniversary too! I highly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a superb night in Nashville! I loved the bathrobes. Even the soaps and shampoos were lovely. The furniture and decor was beautiful. Very classy and relaxing!

If your staying in the downtown Nashville area I would recommend the hermitage hotel. Service was Excellent. The Capitol Grille was fantastic! Once again Excellent service. The basement pub was a cool place to watch football. Apparently the men's bathroom is rated the best in the world.( I didn't even know bathrooms were rated. The room was abnormally large. The only room I have stayed in this size was the homestead in northern virginia. The manager was very interesting and welcoming. My entire visit was 5 star. I see why they have earned this difficult rating yes it is the only one in Tennessee. Thank you hermitage hotel and staff

We recently stayed two nights at The Hermitage Hotel in Nashville and found it truly outstanding in every way. It is beautiful, rich in history yet updated. Every aspect of the hotel amenities, service and atmosphere are amazing. It is also located very close to all the Nashville Country Music action is within walking distance.
I might add we stayed at the Double Tree Downtown Nashville the first two nights and found it very run down so we moved to The Hermitage----a very good move on our part.
