“Nice hotel & Good Location”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 March 2013 via mobile

Spent one night while in town for Pink concert at Bridgestone Arena. Hotel was conveniently located a couple of miles to Bridgestone arena. The hotel offered free shuttle service to concert however they were extremely backed up and we ended up taking a cab 5 people for $10. The rooms were clean and the beds were very comfortable. The bathroom was spacious and the shower was hot with good water pressure. We had a great view of the Vanderbilt Football Stadium from our room. The lobby was beautifully decorated with a nice bar and coffee area. Valet parking $26 and self parking $24. PF Changs in same parking lot as hotel and Wendy's is across the street. The hotel is overpriced. Not sure why hotels in downtown Nashville are so extremely expensive. If the hotels had been more reasonably priced we would have stayed in Nashville longer and enjoyed the music city as it was we only stayed 1 night. That was disappointing!

We live just outside of Nashville so we stay at this Marriott on an occasional late night in town. Typical Marriott - nothing really unique about it over any others. We stayed on the concierge level but that didn't get us anything because the club was closed for the weekend. Our room had an odor of cleaner or perfume that never went away. We got used to it but it made us feel like the room was unclean. The bar/restaurant was average. Location is really good. West End Ave. is a very nice area of Nashville. Several restaurants within walking distance to hotel. PF Changs, J. Alexanders, Flemings, etc. Overall a good experience each time we stay there.

Room Tip: You can either view Centennial Park with the Parthenon or Vanderbilt's football stadium, dependi...

Vising the college, so this was super convenient. We were overlooking the football field, which my son thought was just awesome! Nice rooms, comfortable beds with great linens. It was a fast trip for us so we didn't have the opportunity to use the work out facilities, or the pool. But sure to return and check it out next time.

Room Tip: Back rooms have view of football field, and I'm guessing front rooms have view of park; so you c...

We stayed here for a friend's wedding and found the hotel to be very nice. We had a great rate due to the wedding party (about 60 bucks less per night than the best AAA rate). The common areas were clean and nice, the restaurant had a good brunch and the room itself was quite comfortable. The staff there was great, and was very friendly and responsive to requests. The rooms are spacious, and either overlook Centennial Park, or the Vanderbilt football stadium. It's quite convenient to anything on the Vandy campus, and to the numerous surrounding bars and restaurants. It's also a very short cab ride to the honky tonks downtown. We would stay here again, and I would recommend this place over the Loew's Vanderbilt Hotel, which we've also stayed at, and is just down the block.

Room Tip: Higher floors have a nice view of the area

Overpriced and in need of a sprucing-up. Staff was great, but rooms were a bit rundown. Close to Vanderbilt - but others also close...nice view of the Parthenon and Centennial Park. Would choose another hotel next time.

Nice hotel in the heart of the Vanderbilt area. Extremely overpriced. Rooms were adequate and comfy but nothing extra special. Only two choices for parking $24 for self park or $26 for valet park. They fail to mention that the self park costs anything at all! Imagine my surprise when I self parked in the garage, which is a LONG way from the hotel, and then received a bill for $24 upon checkout! Probably wouldn't go back there just because of the parking situation.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. I apologize the parking options were not more ubiquitous. Unfortunately, we do not own the parking structure and will continue to make every effort to ensure guests are made aware prior to arrival. Thank you for your patronage!

Excellent customer service! I have been staying here for 10 years and is my favorite hotel in Nashville. The indoor pool is vey large and always perfect; however there is no hot tub. It has a very large shallow area for small children. Fitness center has lot of machines, as well as free weights. Room service is always delicious. Speed of service, and attention to needs for breakfast in the restaurant , needs improvement. Visiting with Gail in the concierge lounge is like coming home. She as been the perfecr example of Marriott of customer service or 10 years! The have the most comfortable beds in Nashville with quiet sound proof rooms.

Room Tip: All are quiet, maybe ask for a room away from elevator if you like to go to sleep early. This is Nas...
