“great bluegrass entertainment, arrive early for choice of seating”

Went to this club at the suggestion of my 20 something daughter on a trip with my sister visiting the daughter in Nashville. We were about 1/2 hour early for the Saturday night show and almost all tables were already occupied, arrive early for choice of seating. They did set up folding chairs when the room filled up. The club is nothing fancy but we heard the Grascals and the music was great. The beers were inexpensive. We did not try the food except for a basket of popcorn. The rest of the food appeared to be standard bar food, pizza, etc, nothing special. We plan to come here again when we return to Nashville. We had walked a distance from where we parked our car and took advantage of a pedal (bicycle) cab on the way back-fun.

We visited The Station to see Larry Cordle and Lonesome Standard Time on 13 May. Great venue and superb music. It looks pretty unassuming from the outside but don't be put off, the welcome is as warm as any in Nashville and this is a great venue

We went to the bluegrass jam on a Sunday night as that was the only time that fitted with our visit to Nashville. The music wasn't the greatest, but the atmosphere was relaxed, both customers and bar staff were friendly, and the musicians (including a highly talented 12 year old girl on fiddle) were clearly having a good time. Reasonable beer (in plastic cups), we didn't try the food but it was cheap and cheerful. My wife reported the ladies' restrooms as being a little informal for her taste!
I'd encourage anyone visiting Nashville who enjoys the more acoustic kind of country to visit.
We walked to the venue and back - it was about 10 minutes from Broadway. There weren't many people on the street but we felt safe enough even in the dark on the way home. Some might prefer to get a taxi back though.

I saw where another reviewer likened this place to a Moose Lodge or VFW hall, and they thought that was a bad thing - that's the exact reason I liked it so much. It wasn't all touristy and trashy like the places on Broadway. I went for the blue grass jam session on Sunday night, and it was super laid back, and the music was great. To each his own I guess.

Loved this place! It seemed to be a favourite spot for locals. People were there to hear the music. The quarters were tight for getting up and moving around, but everyone was okay with this. The beer prices were reasonable. The atmosphere was very casual. The live music we saw there was amazing. Can't wait to go back!
