Went to this place twice now. Both times, we saw some good local talent. We were there in March for a Singer/Songwriter night. There were two acts that night, and both were very entertaining.

I would say that you'd go here more for the music than the food. The menu is filled with appetizers that are mostly deep-fried. I'd recommend either eating somewhere else either before or after the show.

This is a basic and simple bar, but a great place (NO SMOKING) to catch Nashville talent. We went to see the Time Jumpers, 12 top-line Nashville musicians to include Vince Gill. Not a bad seat in this small bar, which is nicely outside the "tourist area" of downtown Nashville but not too far. Parking is free and easy. The drink prices are reasonable. The food is average bar food, but try the quite good fried pickle spears. Check out their website and watch the list of groups. You can find rising stars, as well as notable musicians just hanging out to do what they love without alot of fanfare - just play great music. We will be back!

We had three tickets for the Mavericks show, which had been postponed twice. It was scheduled to start at 8 pm, but we showed up at 6 pm, because we knew from experience that good seats would be gone early.
We stood in a long line, and when we got in, there were NO seats left. The lower area, in front of the stage was completely empty of tables. People looking for seats were forced to stand, elbow to elbow, in any space they could find.
Because we simply could not stand for 4-5 hours to get through the show, we simply left. We are out the $60+ for the tickets, and 3rd and Lindsley is out not only the $100 or so we would have spent, but also any future income from us.
I will NEVER go back!

3rd & Lindsley has undergone a makeover and the result is a much improved venue. Previously, the stage was small and cramped, to the left as you entered, with a l o n g room stretching back from it. Now, the stage is larger, facing you as you enter, with much better sight-lines from almost every seat and table. It was always a good place to catch an act or a showcase, but the upgrade is a major improvement. Oh... and the restrooms are MUCH improved!

Great bar with enough seats to see decent shows, but small enough to really see and get to know the musicians. Menu looks nice, but nothing gluten free, so I can't eat it or really comment. Really like this place, although it isnt in the best part of town, so I wouldnt necessarily recommend walking here (like I mistakenly did tonight).
