“Nice hotel in close proximity to everything Downtown!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 July 2014

Stayed here for a weekend on business and the hotel was great. It is a typical Hyatt Place, but some of the typical things are nice when you are traveling for business such as free breakfast, onsite bar and some light menu items for room service type dining. This location also had live music, which was great! Everywhere in Nashville has live music so I was glad to see it here as well. Also, the fruit-infused water by the front door were all wonderful and were welcomed during those hot summer days spent walking around the City. The strip with all of the clubs and music is literally a few blocks away, Country Music Hall of Fame is right behind this hotel and tons of restaurants just a short walk away. It's a great place to spend a few days in Nashville. I did get a lot of street noise in my room, but it's Nashville and folks like to stay up late and roam the streets so it was sort of expected, I guess. The bike bars (traveling bars where customers ride around the city) loaded and unloaded right beneath my room so I heard lots of screaming after bedtime, but HP did supply ear plugs, which was a nice touch.

Room Tip: Ask for a room that is not on the side where they load the bike bars.

Hi KeithnAlly! We appreciate your feedback on our hotel! I'm so glad to hear that you enjoyed the breakfast buffet as well as some of our extra touches like the live music and the water in the lobby! I do apologize for the noise from the city, we certainly are in the heart of downtown which does come with a bit of added noise. Again, thank you so much for your review, and we hope you'll come see us again!

This hotel is in a great location right Downtown in Music City! Nashville TN. You can walk right to Broadway and 2nd st to hear music. The Country Music Hall of Fame is right there as well. The rooms are pretty much the same at all Hyatt Places so you know what you are getting. We had an issue with wake up calls throughout the night but the issue was addressed in a proper manner.

Thought it was a little pricey but I booked it anyway. Pleasant, friendly, helpful staff. The rooms were excellent! Was like you were in a brand new hotel! Great full breakfast included! Bar in Lobby with entertainment and secured parking and hotel! Will definitely stay again! Loved it!

Live music? Really - yes and not bad at all. Different musicians - different nights. But you are only steps away from awesome music on Broadway. Had a great stay even though I was there for business. I did a lot of walking after hours but felt safe walking back to the hotel late at night. Staff was always there to greet me with a friendly "Hello."

Room Tip: I have only stayed once but I was pleasantly surprised by my regular room. The desk was big with pow...

This hotel was fabulous. It was clean, the rooms were spacious, and the breakfast was terrific for a complimentary buffet. It's also in very close walking distance to the main drag.

There are only two areas I would add for improvement: 1. There are so many people staying at this hotel, you need to wait in line to use the elevators, and 2. The staff is not very well equipped to answer questions about the area. We asked the front desk when we checked in on Friday night if there was a "lower key" place to grab a drink or listen to music, and they sent us to the Broadway strip with our parents. Needless to say, it was NOT low key. We learned the next day from a woman working at a boot store that there is an acoustic lounge RIGHT across the street from the Hyatt (it's called the Listening Room Cafe). We went on Saturday night, and it was PERFECT - exactly what we were looking for. It would be nice of the hotel to maintain a list like this, or just some suggestions for people who don't want to attack the strip one evening.

Hi Ajgebert! Thank you for taking the time to review us. I'm glad you enjoyed our hotel and location, but do apologize for the miss in directing you towards Broadway with your family. We are constantly training and talking about different restaurants and bars that are around us, and that would be a great learning opportunity! Again, thanks so much for your feedback, and we hope you'll stay with us again should you return to Music City!

I always read the 1 star/terrible experience reviews - for various reasons. I do this knowing that there is NO business that does not have an occasional bad day/bad employee/bad customer experience. My father in law always said if you didn't have any refunds you weren't doing enough business. How true.

That said, our family experience at Hyatt Place was totally uneventful - which says a lot. It's just a very nice, upscale hotel within walking distance of music row. The staff was very pleasant, our room was very, very nice, and clean, breakfast was very good, free wi-fi (others wanted $15/night)... in fact, we talked about it afterwards and could not find anything to complain about.

BTW, If Hyatt Place reads this, the cucumber water in the lobby is a really neat touch.

We travel a pretty fair amount and with Nashville being 4 hours from Atlanta it's a nice weekend trip that we make every couple of years (mainly for new boots!).
We have stayed at Loews, which is also a very nice hotel, especially if you have a pet, but with Place being 3 blocks from Broadway and music row, we will probably revisit Hyatt Place when we return.

We stayed on a Friday night, and were pleasantly surprised to see a live band playing when we walked in. The lounge/bar area was busy with many guests enjoying the great music. The décor in the lobby was modern with country accents and fun, and the staff was very friendly. Everyone went out of their way to be helpful from the valets to the front desk staff.

Our room was very spacious and had a nice view of downtown Nashville. The beds were comfortable and the room was very clean and updated.

We loved the free breakfast the next morning. They had everything from cinnamon French toast to breakfast sandwiches (ham, egg, and cheese on English muffin) to sausage links and scrambled eggs. They also had fruit, many cereals to choose from, a coffee/tea bar, and several juices and water. It was very well organized and the food was restocked quickly.

The only minor issue we had was that parking garage was full when we arrived at 10 PM. We got all the way to the top floor searching for a parking spot, and then had a difficult time turning around to come back down. Several other cars were having the same difficulty. We ended up having to valet park our car, as all the self park spots were full. It wasn't much more than the regular rate, only $24 instead of the $20 to self park. The valets were wonderful to work with, so we felt it was money well spent.

The next time we are in Nashville, we will plan to stay here again.
