2 days-Roman Holiday room which included 2-person hot tub, big screen TV with movie collection and DVD; Fireplace with wood. This is the room you want. Cost an extra $100 but has the best of all worlds with a fantastic view. Clean cozy, like staying at your rich uncles house. Quiet as a mouse.
Took the hiking trail adjacent to the house. Very strenuous, but good exercise after first day check -in, takes about 1-hour. Unique predetermined and special dishes served for breakfast and diner if you like. Breakfast included, can have in room, recommend you eat dinner there when possible; excellent flavor. Lots of nearby chain restaurants like Ruby Tuesday, Logans etc.

Go to Gatlinburg if you can during the day as many intersting things to see and eat as you can wal the main street. Its about 40 minutes drive.

Near Gatlinburg is also sugarlands horse riding- they have two ranches, one before gatlinburg and one after that are fun and anybody can do as the horses walk a trail that has beautiful mtn views. We did this for about $35/person/hour. An hour is plenty.

Other than that drink some liquor, sit in the hot tub, and fall asleep by the fire.

Not having a schedule is a good thing. By the way, i don't think a clock worked in the whole place-not sure if that was intentional or not. There is a game room upstairs with pool and misc board games if you so desire-never see mention of this.

Elevator is an antique but works. Good thing because my old lady weighs 350 pounds and pretty much collapsed the wooden staircase as splinters were dropping from underneath. Once we got the door closed on the elevator she was fine and i would run up the stairs and pry her out. Another good reason to get the 2-person hot-tub and bring lots of alcohol.

Room Tip: I did the amazon special and upgraded when i got there to roman holiday for $100/night more.

We stayed in the Roman Holiday room, which was very nice, especially the whirlpool tub. The view was great. We were able to book ~1 week before and got a discounted rate. The breakfast was pretty good, and the option of having it delivered to your room is nice. They handled allergies decently. They were very thorough in making sure everything was okay to eat, but alternative options were limited. We definitely recommend the dinner option because there is no fine dining nearby at all! The food was quite good and the atmosphere was nice. The staff was generally helpful and nice, with normal variability between staff members. Lena? (I think) was especially nice and helpful.

Room Tip: The whirlpool tubs are very nice; I'd get a room with one of them for sure.

The property is located at the top of the hill, at the end of a winding road which is just perfect for this property. Though I was visiting during the winter, I believe the 3 miles off the highway are worth the travel to reach this beautiful property. Go slow and enjoy the views of valley, old barns, homes, etc.

Spectacular and comfortable property that is grand but you feel like you are home. Furnishings appropriate for the named rooms and it took me a bit of time to really look at each piece and enjoy. Nothing in place that did not have great appeal. Oh that gorgeous chandelier in the spiral staircase is just breath taking. Even got on the floor to take pictures straight up f the chandelier and the staircase.

Breakfast is beautiful, tasty and will keep you full until dinner. Ordered a picnic basket lunch for one day and it was delicious and I was able to enjoy lunch and dinner from the basket. I did not have the opportunity to enjoy the dinner service but it smelled fabulous.

I did not utilize the fitness room and there is a pool and tennis court for summer use.

The resort exceeded our expectations! We went from Nashville for a weekend getaway. Our room, tournament of roses, was perfect- complete with an in room fireplace. It is detached from the house above the fitness room. The dinner was delicious and we felt welcome our entire stay! It is close enough to venture into Gatlinburg, but if you are looking to stay at the resort they have movies, pool, and beautiful scenery. There is also a (rather steep) hiking trail right outside that we enjoyed. Highly recommend!

Christoper's Place was a fabulous find in the Smoky Mountain foothills. Luckily, the frigid weather fled Tennessee and the weather was warm and beautiful. Our room, the Lion's Den, was perfect. Spacious, quiet, clean, comfortable, and most importantly, romantic! We were a bit worried that it was on the main floor of the house, but that made us feel like we were the only guests in the house because it's the only room on that level. The food was fantastic, especially dinner - it was well worth the price. And what made it even more special was we had the whole dining room to ourselves! It was beyond special. As a matter of fact, though there were 4 other couples staying, we rarely saw them at all. You could get together in the game room or during breakfast, or not. Even the small gym and tennis court fit our workout needs in a pinch. If you are looking for a quiet romantic getaway where you can be waited on, pampered, and undisturbed, this place is the right place for you!!!

Room Tip: The Loin's Den is on the main floor, though it seems like it might be busy, it is perfect. It i...

This might be one of the better places in the Smokies but it is no longer a 4 diamond quality property. There is too much deferred maintainance for that rating including windows that are so fogged and streaked that you can't see the views. We stayed in Margaret's Room on the third floor and were told not to use the elevator when staff was not there. Long climb up to the room which is in attic level. The heat system is locate over the ceiling of that room and it sounds like a diesel truck running in your room. I complained about it but another room was not offered in a very underbook inn. The window in our room was taped together.

The staff was friendly and courteous. It is a long drive to the main part of the Smokies and really dark at night to get back. This might be a better summer option when one can use the pool and not be kept awake all night by the constant roar of the heating system.

Room Tip: Avoid the upper floor.

As always Steve thank you for your visit. We always strive to ensure the best possible service for our guests and some of the things noted are a result of that. The inn has recently been treated for Lady Bugs and until the second freeze of the season we have been advised to not wash the windows. This ensures all of our guests enjoy the property without the added visitors who are sometimes unwelcome. Additionally, as our elevator had recently been serviced we wanted to ensure our guests safety and thus requested it to be used only during business hours.

As always we are so pleased that our staff was kind and courteous to you during your stay and will welcome your visit in the summer to enjoy some other fine amenities we have to offer.

Christopher Place is a diamond on top of a smokey mountain top. The estate is real a spectacle to see once you get up the winding mountain road. We stayed in the 'Lion's Den' and it was just a fantastic and spacious suite, the double whirlpool tub was outstanding. Do to the time of the year the fall foliage was long gone however the view from the deck and sipping on a cocktail from the Library pub was very relaxing. The breakfast outstanding and if you are lucky to get the table by the bay window you will be entertained by the resident 'Cardinal' who like to keep an eye on you and your breakfast.

Room Tip: First floor suite great room and close to pub and dinning room.
